Taze had barely been at work for five minutes before he was sent into the Garrison to fix the air conditioner in one of the rooms. He would be lying if he said we wasn't excited. After all, he had never been inside the Garrison before. There had been no need for it.
He finally found the room he was sent to fix, a guy named Cori or something was supposed to live there. He shifted his bag from one arm to the other and knocked heavily on the wooden door and waited for an answer,

Cori was BURNING up in here. Her air conditioner was broken and she was basically melting, which for an ice girl wasn't really the best circumstance to be in. When the knock came on the door she opened it hurriedly. She was wearing short shorts, a tank top, and was basically shining with sweat. When she saw the boy outside the door her eyes widened. "Thank the Gods, you're here!" She exclaimed.
She back up and opened the door wider in order for the mechanic to be able to come inside, "Thank you so much, you have no idea how horrible it's been," she said quickly and gratefully as she shut the door behind him, reaching over to grab a jacket off her desk and slip it on.

If Taze was kind to be freaked out, this would have been a good moment for that. But instead he simply raised his eye brows and grinned, "Horrible, huh?" He said, turning so he could sqeeze between her and the frame of the door. The room wasn't super extravagant, but it as better than he ever thought a arracks would be.
Taze dropped his bag on the floor and looked around the room for a moment before eyes the thermostat, "It's actually nice in here." He grinned at her devilishly as he pulled open the thermostat to check that it was turned on. You have no idea how many people call him out there just because they don't know where the on button is. This girl wasn't one of those people. "Oh look, he said after tweaking a few cables, "The screen came back on." The electric blue screen read 89 degrees. Although it was warm, Taze's skin ran hot already so it didn't bother him much.
He looked back over at the girl as he reinforced one of the cords with electric tape, "It looks like the output was a little high here. How cold have you been setting the air conditioner?" He asked, eyeing the girl and leaning so he was standing close to her.

She glared at him as he said it was actually nice in there, "you're one of those fire kids, aren't you?" she asked in a low and suspicious voice. Just her luck, she had a fire breathing monster in her room. Fire was NOT something she liked being around. She was always afraid that she would melt because of it, even though that was completely illogical.
She stepped in a little closer in order to see what he was doing on the screen. It seemed as though he was fixing it all right, which was the best thing Cori had seen all day. When he turned back to face her, she didn't step back-which was a mistake. This guy leaned closer to her and she leaned back a little out of instinct. "Well... I'll be honest, I like it really cold. It's hard to upkeep the cold on my own..." she gave him an awkward smile as she took in a deep breath, blowing ice cold air into his face. "See, I can't do that all day!" she smiled mischievously at the guy.

The ice cold breathe felt like a cool tickle against his skin. Realizing she had cold based powers made him smile. The cool air melting against his skin and ran down his neck like sweat as he leaned in closer to her. He could feel the cool air coming off her skin like some sort of aura. It was actually really intriguing. He was more and more curious about what it would be like to touch her. Would she melt? That didn't make sense. Just because she was cold didn't mean she was actually made of ice. He also never had an issue being too cold before. He was always putting off heat, himself. After a moment of looking at her thoughtfully and reached up as if her was about to touch her cheek. Realizing mid-motion that it would be weird when he didn't even know her full name or anything, he slammed his hand against the thermostat and punched a button, "Fixed" He said, barely audible above the now roaring air conditioner.

Cori leaned back even more as he started to lean even closer to her. Soon, her back was against the wall that was right behind her. His smile was almost... primal. She could feel his skin this close though, and it was emanating an insane heat. She felt her heart start to pound as panic filled her a little bit at a time. As his hand reached up her eyes widened. Suddenly he was punching the thermostat and she released the breath she had been holding, blowing more cold air in his direction. She turned to look at the thermostat. "Thanks"! she said as she reached over, careful not to touch him, and turned the cold air down to a more reasonable place. Then, quickly, as she ducked away from him and headed toward the door, opening it widely, "It was nice to meet you!" she said with a big get-out-of-here-you-scary-fire-man smile.

Taze arched a brow at her, "You know.." He started, watching her motion for him to leave as if her life depended on it, "I'll have to do some work to this if you are going to continue to run it at 40 degrees..." He turned and popped the cover off the thermostat again, using the lame excuse as a reason to stay in her room longer than what was obviously necessary, "I can probably make it so that the thing doesn't break every week." He cursed himself mentally after he said that. Wouldn't that just be another reason to come see this interesting girl again?

Coris jaw dropped slightly as he implied that he was indeed going to have to stay longer. She shut the door slowly, but stayed there for a moment as he turned back to the thermostat. "Excellent!" she exclaimed when he said that he could make it so it wouldn't break every week. That meant fire kids wouldn't have to hang out in her room once a week, or more.
She walked back over to him and leaned against the wall beside the thermostat, watching him work by leaning her head to one side. "So, what other plans do you have today?" she asked, cocking an eyebrow at him. If he was going to stay longer she may as well make a friend, or something.

By the time she had leaned against the wall near him, Taze had already pulled most of the wiring out of the thermostat and was messing with it. She had cranked the cooling down so low that wires were already warm to the touch, not that it really bothered him that much. He started twisting something together and making the wires thicker as he looked her way, “Well, that all depends now doesn’t it?” He said with a devilish grin, “On what you’re doing later.”

Cori rolled her eyes at his little invitation and smiled, looking away from him for a moment. Soon, she looked back at him and cocked an eyebrow at the guy, "I was thinking of building an ice castle in the mountains. Sorry bout it, you can't come or else you'd melt it because you're just that hot," her eyes narrowed as she flirted with him. Cori would always flirt, sure, but she never got past the talk. At least, that's how it had always been.

Taze finally shoved the wires back into their place in the wall and closed the thermostat as she answered him. He turned around and flicked his lighter silently from his sleeve allowing the flames to sprout from his palm, "Whoa now, princess," He said putting his now flaming hand between her and any exit she might have had, "I know I'm hot, but this castle idea.." He grinned sarcastically, "...can't you just let it go?" (OOC: YES I WENT THERE. NO QUESTIONS.) He then extinguished the flames and backed toward the door. He threw a balled up piece of paper at her, "My number, call me when you're interested." Because, inevitably, she would be.

Princess? Coris hands balled into fists as the word came out of his mouth. As he revealed the flames Cori leaned back into the wall, flattening her hands against it. Fire? Seriously? She'd have to turn the air conditioning up even higher once he left. That was just uncool. She caught the paper in her hand and glared at him. "I'll keep that in mind, thanks," she said sarcastically as she froze the paper in her hand and tossed it onto the floor beside her. "See ya, flame boy."

Taze raised his eye brows. Damn what a challenge she was. Even he could tell that he had gone a little too far with this trip. Oh well, maybe next time, "See ya, Ice Queen." He grinned as he grabbed his tools and rushed out the door, wondering what exactly would come from a super-heated fire thrower if he got frozen. Maybe he would ask Deacon later...
