OUTFITThe blue sky was clear this afternoon, and the sun was beating down on Concordia like it was summer already. Annabeth, being an outdoors type girl, promptly threw on her favorite bathing suit from last year and ran outside. She was on the beach quickly, looking at the crowded scene before her with dismay. So many other demi-gods had had the same idea she had that there wasn't even any room to actually enjoy the sun, sand and sea. She backed toward a clump of trees slowly and ducked into her favorite location on the beach. It took some hiking to reach but when she finally got there, it was worth it. Not a soul in sight. She kicked her flip-flops off, watching them skid across the smooth sand, and tossed her denim shorts into the pile as well. She unrolled her beach towel and propped her sunglasses on her nose before laying out in the sun, letting it wash over her. @tristan

A nice, sunny day like this on Tristan's day off was so rare that he was almost shocked. Deciding that a swim was in order, he headed off in the direction of the beach. He didn't intend to stay out on the main beach because of the crowds, but instead went to the little lagoon where the crew sometimes hung out. They wouldn't be there today, but it should be empty. To his everlasting horror, someone had beaten him there and it wasn't one of his friends. From where he stood, he couldn't quite see who it was.
A few more steps revealed it to be Annabeth, who he hadn't seen since a couple nights ago at the club. He had intended to go back already, but work had kept him away. Walking up to her, Tristan smiled. "Well hello AB. Fancy meeting you here." He didn't dare say anything else yet. Instead, he waited to see if she'd send him away again, hoping that she didn't.

Annabeth was surprised to hear someone shuffle our of the trees and into her private little beach area. She pulled the sunglasses off her face and squinted into the sun, unable to actually make out his face for a moment. But she should tell by the silhouette of that Greek-God hair that it was Tristan, "Hey there!" she smiled, sliding her sunglasses back over her eyes, "It's been a little while hasn't it? I mean you haven't come back to the club since you brought that knife to me. I was countin' on that dance."

"Would ya believe me if I said I tried?" Tristan asked, settling down nearby on the sand. He was suprised she brought up that night at all, considering how things had ended. Sure, he had liked the kiss, but then she kicked him out. Girls were confusing.
"I made an error with putting "custom" in the name. Apparently that means everyone has to have something special and it all had to be done by yesterday. I was looking forward to coming back. Maybe tonight?" Sure, the explanation sounded lame, but it was the truth. It was like people had gone crazy in the last few days at the store.

AB narrowed her eyes playfully at him and shrugged, "I suppose I can forgive you, as long as you answer one question for me..." Her heart lurched into her throat as she thought about the last time she had seen Tristan. She licked her lips and turned her face so her couldn't see her even though she was well hidden behind the frames of her sunglasses, "What did you think about it?" She knew her face was red and was hoping it looked more like a sunburn than a blush. But her straightforward personality was dying to know and she couldn't keep her curiosity to herself anymore.

"Are we talking about the dance or the kiss?" Tristan asked, half joking. For a moment he wasn't sure how to respond. He had enjoyed every second of it, up until she had pushed him away. Was this going to be a regular thing or was he setting himself up to fail? Then again, Tris wasn't a coward. He'd answer her honestly.
"It really doesn't matter though. I feel the same way about both." AB looked like she was hiding from him, like she as embarrassed, and it kinda bothered him. "I wish you wouldn't've left the dance floor AB. I coulda stayed there all night with you. Still would." His shy side wanted to turn away as soon as he said it, but there it was out in the open. Tris couldn't take it back and he wasn't sure that he wanted to. Still, he wasn't sure what Annabeth would do now that she had her answer.

He was sitting close enough to her that she felt heat wafting over her. AB turned her head suddenly when he said she hadn't left the dance floor. Of course, she felt the same way, but he hadn't hardly reacted at all when she kissed him, and they had only just met. She had had a sick feeling like she was Anna and he was Hans and it was going too fast... but then Kristoff fell in love with Anna quickly too...
As if prompted by her strange thoughts of Disney movies, Annabeth sat up quickly and wrapped her arms around his neck, pressed her lips to his before he could react. She rolled over so she was laying on top of him, her legs straddling his hips. Everything about him was too hot. His skin felt like fire, his lips seared against her, and for some reason she loved every second of the scalding heat against her skin.

Tristan reacted a little faster this time, but not by much. AB's skin was cool against his in an unfamiliar but welcome way by the time he wrapped one hand Around her waist. The other wrapped itself in her hair as he returned her kiss.
After a long minute he finally came up for air, grinning brightly before leaning up to kiss AB again, softer this time. This was definitely better than last time, he just hoped she didnt panic and leave again.

Even if AB wanted to, she didn't think she could pull away from his warmth. She was woefully unaware of her scantily clad body pressing against his. Instead she leaned in and kissed him again. It was like she couldn't get enough of her lips on his. She smiled into the kiss and pulled back, forcing herself to roll off of him. The absence of his heat made her feel cold and lonely so she buried her face in his chest, cuddling up to him, "Where have you been all my life, Mr. Hill?"

"Looking for you, Ms. Wallace." Tristan said absent mindedly, runnin his fingers through AB's hair. He couldn't think of a time where he had been happier than right now. Wrapping his free arm around her tightly, he repositioned them both so that she could lay more comfortably against his chest.
Sitting in silence for a few content moments, Tris found himself looking down at her again. "Penny for your thoughts?" He asked, wondering what she was thinking.

AB shook her head lightly, laughing at his cheese ball comment, not that she minded. Something about this moment felt perfect. The breeze was blowing through the secluded lagoon lightly, cooling the parts of her that weren't pressed against the literal human space heater. Annabeth sighed and held her hand up to block the sun as it grew brighter before falling below the trees. The warm day was quickly turning into a chilly night, but Annabeth didn't even get goose bumps. When he spoke again, his southern accent made her heart beat fast, "You really wanna know?" She asked, looking up at him for a swift moment with an amused smile, "I was wonderin' if your power is to be way too warm." She knew immediately the question didn't come out the way she meant it to, "What I mean to say is, are you one of those flame throwers?" She shook her head, still not satisfied with the question but hoping he understood anyway.

Tristan chuckled, loosening his grip on her a little bit as he sat up slightly. "Sorry. I forget that I run so hot some times. I spend most of my time working or with my siblings, so it normally doesn't matter." He replied apologetically.
"But to answer the question, yes. I'm a pyrokenetic. Mine is mostly restricted to my hands, and I can't throw it, but still it's the same principal. My hands can get as hot as I need them, but the flames are pretty weak." It was the best way to explain it, but it didn't sound as cool. "That's why I'm so warm all the time. We're walking heaters, though you don't hear our friends complaining in the winter"

When he loosened his grip around her waist, Annabeth shot up again, straddling him and hugging him close, "I'll never complain..." She said wistfully, comfortable against the heat that seemed to overtake the entire section of beach around them, "Warmth is the best feeling..." She sighed and laughed, planting a few kisses on his neck. AB could almost feel the blood rushing through his veins as she trailed kisses down his collar bone. Before things got out of her control, AB had to push off of him. She landed in the sand softly, feeling the aching chill of separation. But the cool sand underneath her and the foot between them brought her head back from the foggy, lustful place it had wandered off to, "You are way too sexy." She said, her voice twanging in a way that sang of her southern roots.

"Your funny." Tristan said as she moved away. Standing up, he held his hand out to her. "Care to go for a swim?" He asked innocently, heading towards the water. Maybe the cold would do both of them some good. Almost as an after thought, he took his shirt off before walking in to the chilly salt water.

Annabeth grinned at him, clicking on her country music so it played through a Bluetooth speaker she had in her bag. The song Mine Would Be you by Blake Shelton started twanging through her speaker and she stood, brushing sand off her tanned legs. When he took his shirt off, her breathe completely stopped. She watched him throw his shirt to the ground and, for some reason, that caused her to snap back to reality. She ran at him at full speed, tackling him from behind and pushing them both into the salty ocean water. Her nose filled with water and she coughed as she tried to reach the surface. Her head popped out, wet hair spraying her belonging with water, "Goodness..." She sighed, coughing the burning salt water from her lungs.
