A Siren's Treasure is Her Wardrobe ((Ember))

Years had passed, too many too count. She was pretty sure she had actually lost count of just how many had slipped between her and @emberlynn, but Tere knew that it was time to bridge the gap that time had placed between them. Tere had gone to sea and pretty much forgot about Camp Half-Blood. Something that she would regret now for the rest of her existence. However, dwelling on the mistakes of the past had not been why she had come here. No, she was a girl after all, and one who loved to shop, but not only that, this was the best place - she felt - that she and Ember could reconnect and grow back the sisterly bond that had once been there, despite their differences, they had one big thing in common... their father.

Tere had left a note for Ember to join her at the mall, that she would be waiting near the entrance so that she would be easy to find. Not that it was hard to find a woman that had long hair done with beads, wore knee high leather boots and a captain's jacket on most occasions. Such as today. Yeah, she was sure she would get odd looks, after all, she looked like she was ready for halloween in most places, but this is how she liked to dress, plus it was the best way to dress on a ship. The jacket to keep her warm when the salty sea air grew just a tad to cold to be walking around in not much else. Now it was just a waiting game.

Ember Lynn threw a stack of papers together on her desk, making them slide across the glass surface. She didn't mind, though. Today was her day off, and here she was, at work. She signed a clipboard one of the Senators thrust at her and looked at them expectantly, "Is that all you needed?" She asked, in the most professional voice she could manage. They nodded and she smiled, leading them from her office quickly.

It wasn't ten minutes later that she was pushed through the glass doors of the mall, trying to find her sister. As Tere was certainly aware, she stood out like a sore thumb. Ember Lynn looked almost like she was dressed in a full formal outfit, standing next to her sister. The blonde smiled, "Tere!" She called, dodging a few people who were standing in the way and finally making it to the sea captain, "I've missed you." Ember Lynn smiled and hugged her sister.

Clothes

Tere looked towards her sister as she heard her name, it almost echoed through the entire place, despite all the noise and the crowds. Still, Tere smiled as her sister moved closer and then froze for only a moment before returning the hug. It was odd being hugged by someone other than her crew, of course that was a rare occurrence as well, but every 28 days or so, the Song would become a mass of cuddling, crying, choco-craving, nutty women. Still, despite being shocked by the hug, she returned it, giving her sister just as tight as a squeeze before releasing her.

"You saw me only a short while back, Sis." She teased, it had been about a week or so, but that was nothing compared to the years and years that they had been separated. "How have things been going with you?" She asked as she moved beside her sister, hooking their arms together so that they could move about the busy mall without being separated and allow them to talk just between them without having others listening in.

Ember Lynn shrugged and smiled, "Yes but that was a business meeting." Emmy said sweetly, feeling her phone buzz in her purse. She pulled it out and smiled, sending a quick reply to Dylan before looking back at Tere, "I have been great, considering." She started, thinking to herself about the attacks, "Concordia isn't so bad." She knew that when the war was over, and people were allowed to leave freely, Ember Lynn would be forced to stay here, always the Chancellor of Demi-God Island.

Tere smiled as her sister teased her about that being a business meeting, it had been close to one as far as Tere was concerned but it had started up as getting to know the fact that not only was one of her sisters still alive, but the fact that she was basically the woman in charge. Knowing that her sister had been doing well enough given the circumstances made Tere just a bit happier despite the fact that she had had to leave her behind.

It was when she had mentioned that Concordia wasn't 'so bad' that Tere gave a slight smile and nodded to her. "It seems to have it's good points, but I have yet to really see much of it. Perhaps when we are done clearing this place out of all it's clothes and shoes, you can give me a tour?"

Ember Lynn smiled and nodded brightly, "Only if I can call my boyfriend and have him carry all my stuff back tot he house. There's no telling if he's even be willing to do that! We only just moved in together..." Emmy bit her lip and dodged into a shoe store, hoping her sister would follow behind her. The summer heat wave was settling over the island and inspired some new sandals to be stocked at the front of the store.

Despite being taller than most, Ember Lynn was drawn to a row of high heeled wedge sandals, all sliver and gold straps and taller than Mount Olympus, almost. She kicked off her flip flops and slip her foot into one of the shoes, modeling it for Tere, "Your thoughts?"

The mention of her sister having a boyfriend caused one brow to lift nearly to her hairline for a moment before she was thrown off guard by Ember also adding to that bit of information that she had just moved in with the guy and then ran into the nearest shoe store. This left Tere just a little shocked and standing there with her mouth hung open like a cod fish. When her mouth finally snapped shut, she followed after Ember and gave a little laugh at her sister who was now trying on a pair of sandals. "Lovely, so when do I get to meet this boyfriend of yours so I can threaten him with death and dismemberment if he ever thinks of breaking your heart?" She asked in a tone that was a cross between teasing and serious that would leave most wondering if she was just kidding or truly willing to kill someone that harmed her sister, even if it was emotionally.

After she said that though, she moved around to grab at a pair of high heeled gladiator boots. The straps clearly going well above the knee even though she hadn't yet tried them on. When it came to shopping (or stealing) clothes, she didn't bother with trying things on, if they fit, they fit. If they didn't they would likely fit one of her girls. Half of the lowest part of the Song's Hull had been converted into a large walk in closet for the girls, but Teresia had her own closet as well.

Ember Lynn shook her head and kicked out of the heels. She was now standing barefoot in the shoe store, picking through a number of boxes trying to find her size in a different pair of shoes, "Oh, I'm certain you will meet him soon." Emmy slipped into a pair of white wedge heels with sliver accents and smiled before putting on her own shoes and pulling the box to her chest. Unlike her sister, Ember Lynn would buy the things she would get today. Not that is bothered her that her sister stole, but it was kind of...well...frowned upon.

Tere smirked a bit and nodded "Yes, well, I better." She said with a wink as she walked over and picked up a pair of wicked looking heels, the stilettos clearly a good 7" and on a ship that constantly sways from side to side, someone could really break a leg in them. Well, not her girls, they would likely break them on land than at sea. She then looked back at her sister and moved to wrap an arm around her. "After all, it's a sisterly thing to threaten the guys they get serious about with bodily harm." She said with a playful wink and then held up the shoe for her sister to see. "Too Loud?"

Ember Lynn rolled her eyes, standing tall in a pair of strappy black heels, "Tere, is there ever anything that is too loud for you?" She asked with a devilish grin. The shoes were actually quite cute, though they didn’t suit someone like Ember Lynn. She dressed in more pastels and sweet colors than the bright, eye catching colored these shoes were, “They suit you.” Ember Lynn said, turning them over to see the price. She shook her head, figuring it didn’t matter that they were $200, anyway.

Tere laughed softly and shook her head at @emberlynn, winking to her sister. "I like loud, after all, I cause chaos and destruction by being loud." She smirked at her sister and went back for the box for the shoes as well as the boots she had picked up earlier. Then she stopped and picked up what was clearly something strippers or someone that just like cheesy shoes - like herself - would wear. They were clear, the inch high platform bottoms filled with sand, what looked like a gel to create water and little sea shells. "Ooh I like these..." She said as she held them up for her sister to see.

Emmy would never truly be able to understand her sister's sense of fashion. Ember Lynn so more of a runway type girl than a 'stand out no matter what' kind. She smiled without making a comment about the shoes and pointed toward the register, "I'm going to pay, meet me out front?" She asked, assuming that Tere planned on stealing the goods like the pirate she was.

Tere's brows arched at her sister for a moment before she nodded to her and turned to pick up another pair of shoes. This pair a bit more understated and in a nude color so they wouldn't stand out too drastically from her tanned feet. She then followed her sister to the register and as she got behind her in line she whispered into Ember's ear "I never steal from a place I live and work." Then she prodded her sister and smirked "And I need the bag." She added and stuck her tongue out in a playful manner.

Emmy grinned and laughed, "Fair enough, You coming?" She grabbed a cute pair of yellow flats as she walked by them, thinking they would match really well with her yellow and pink sun dress that she wore to the beach. She stood at the register and cringed when the price tag popped up. She slid cash across the counter and watched as the cashier threw her shoes in a large striped bag, "Where to next?"

Tere smiled and nodded, once her sister had paid, she herself set her bounty on the counter and watched as the price grew at a steady rate. Tere smiled and passed over the money when it was time. There was a great perk to being a pirate and a smuggler, they could make some great cash. But when you were a hot woman, men would give their left nut to earn their 'happiness'.

She came out of her thoughts and took hold of the bag before looking to Ember and smiling. "Know any place in this mall that sells swim suits? I and the girls could always use more bikinis." She said with a cheery smile.
