Mixing it up | Open

Bernie was on a break from his work on the farms.  Really, it was so easy and he wasn't really pressured into a strict schedule.  He did his share of working but when he took breaks his fellow farmers were happy to pitch in and help while he rested.  He had been sleeping under an orchard tree, taking a nap, when he was awakened by the sound of his phone.  It indicated that he had a text message, and he sleepily picked up to see what it was.  Apparently one of his sisters, Diana, wanted him to come over to the NYSA to party and without thinking twice he had shot up to his feet and made his way to the club.  He didn't need to know what specific details or what time of the day it was.  Parties were parties.  Oh, and he was able to gather some other farmer friends with him.

He pretty much burst into club on entrance, followed in by several of his friends.  They all scattered around.  His expression brightened up again at the sight of his two sisters.  He saw them at the bar and strode over to them.  "Bonjour, mes belle soeurs!" he greeted them in his attempt at French, which was not so bad.  He sat down at a stool beside Diana.  "Come on, tell me I said that right.  I overheard some of the of the Aphrodite--or was it Venus--girls screaming that to each other not so long ago.  It was a pleasant sight to see, and hear."  He grinned.  "But what's more pleasant are le fête! I got some of my farmer buddies to come along."  He nodded in their direction before looking at Jaz.  "Hey, Jaz, could ya get me something fancy? Any one of your crazy mixes shall do, thanks."

"Comin right up, bud." Grabbing another clean glass from underneath the counter, Jaz pulled out her favorite mix before handing it to Bernie. It was strong and fruity, but the thing worked wonders for her mood. Since it was her favorite, it was also the best thing in her arsenal of tricks. Making quick work of procuring two more glasses, she made one for herself and another for Diana before walking away briefly to take another order.

Diana took the drink and gave it a sniff first, her nose crinkling a bit at the smell before she shook her head and smirked. "I'm half way tempted to wait till he comes here and then give him a little shock." She said as she looked down at the beer. "Expect beer that smells like a bad crop of bad barley and get some sweet wine instead." She said with a smirk and then gave the beer a sip. It tasted like bad barley as well. Shaking her head she looked to Jaz and nodded. "For the sake of a good bet, I will tack an extra 30 minutes to that." Diana said with a smile on her face, as she concentrated on the beer and then smirked as it turned to wine. "Much better..." She said and then she heard Bernie and glanced back at him before looking to Jaz once more. "We were both wrong..." she snickered and then glanced back to Bernie as he joined them.

"It sounded right to me, and I was born in France." She said with a wink before giving a little smirk and drinking her now bottle of wine. "This place was in serious need of your charming personality, dear brother." She said as she gave his nose a playful tap and then turned to look at those that had joined her brother. "A good party could always use more bodies."
