A Night to Remember | All Members Invited

Zane raised his eye brows as he watch Masin stand there, but he didn't say anything. He hadn't hardly had enough to drink to justify what they would end up doing if they started a conversation. Luckily, Finley distracted him with his question ,"You have to be joking. This is all the little dude's idea. I didn't even want to be hear but I can't say no to Melanie when she begs." He rolled his eyes, once again being brutally honest about how he saw the world, "So why are you here?"

He smiled and took her hand in his, giving it a shake before releasing her hand.  "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Magister DeLisle.  I'm Aimery Girard, owner of the Treasures of Styx, a jewelry store."  And it was a pleasure.  She was not only beautiful, but professional and serious.  Very respectable.  He thought she would be a fine chancellor.  "And so I've heard," he said when she mentioned she was running for chancellor.  "It would be an honor for me to vote for you."  He might be a private person, but he also read up on the current events of the island.  He truly thought that Masin deserved the chancellorship.  He didn't know Hadley, but the controversy surrounding her was already enough to make him step back with distaste.

"Thank you.  I'm glad you like it, and yes, it was," Aimery answered, and rather proudly.  He commenced to eat his cookie and watched as she socialized with his brother.  He wondered if his brother was going to flirt with her.  Ethan was a flirt, if Aimery was correct, and the woman speaking with them was a comely one. 

But then Mel joined them, and Aimery smiled warmly at her.  She was his favorite sibling, having been with him in Camp Half-Blood.  They went through Damien's loss together, too, which added more to the closeness of their bond.  "Now why would I not show up to the party that I suggested myself?" he said, somewhat playfully.  He lifted his glass of wine to her in acknowledgment, nonetheless, and then took a sip of it. 

Aimery glanced at Mel, and then at Ethan again.  Now they were only missing the oldest one of them all.  "Have either one of you seen where Zane is?" he asked.  He scanned the room quickly, but didn't see Zane, for some strange reason.  Remembering that they had someone else in their presence, he turned to glance at Masin.  "My brother, Zane, often talks about you.  I understand that the two of you are work colleagues."  He was just saying that to express his knowledge that Zane and Masin most likely knew one another, both people being Magisters.

Nikolai seemed to not have noticed the girl who had jumped out of the way as if he were a burning brand; otherwise, he'd have made a snarky remark about it out of a mixture of annoyance, amusement, and confusion.  He was never intentionally mean, but he wasn't the most understanding of people.  But he didn't notice her so he continued to stare at his morbid surroundings with an odd fascination.

But then he felt a hand on his arm, and turned his attention upon the girl beside him.  Ah, it was Mac, the least annoying of people in his opinion.  He admired her free spirit, but damn did she look rather hot in that attire.  A little surprising for the tomboy.  His eyebrows were raised.  "Why, hey, Mac, don't you look beautiful?" he said in mock surprise.  But, before he could say anything he was being introduced to a pretty, but fragile, looking girl.  He stared at her, not knowing why she was acting jittery around him.  "I'm a son of Apollo, not a hydra," he said dryly.  However, he figured she was just really shy for whatever reason, and so he decided to cut her some slack.  "Danisande? Well, nice to meet you.  I'm Nikolai.  Bartender at Club NYSA."

Dani gave a shy nod, glancing down for a moment. "Forgive me... I-I'm not used to being around a lot of people..." She said softly, "I'm a huntress for Artemis... I am better with animals than people." She said in that same quiet tone. She really was terrified of people - well men to be more exact - plus there was the fact that getting close to any man could be a danger to her. And gods forbid if one ever did win her heart... she would never see them again.

"Thank you Magister. We owe it all to Aimery." Melanie's face was beginning to hurt from all of the smiling. At Aimery's acknowledgement of Zane's absence, she barely managed to stifle a chuckle. "He's with Colonel Rockefeller, most likely pretending that no one saw him come in."

"And for the record, it wouldn't be the first time one of you hasn't shown up to a function. Granted, not in the house, but my argument stands." That had been an interesting evening, for sure. She had almost throttled the brother in question when she finally made it home and would likely never let them live it down.

"Me, jealous? Never." Ashton replied with a shake of his head. Of course he was jealous, but that was besides his point. When she asked to dance, he smiled softly before taking her hand. "What else would I rather be doing?" His tone was light and teasing, though he tried to be at least slightly serious. Leading her out towards the dancefloor, he twirled her around before wrapping his arm around her waist, swaying slowly to the lazy beat.

Tere smiled as he spun her about and then pulled her into his arms. She slid her hands up along his arms and brought them up to link together behind his neck as she moved with him to the slow beat of the song. "I have no idea what else you would rather be doing... you might need to share those plans with me and I'll tell you if they are worth your time." She teased, leaning up and kissing his jaw gently. "Thank you for coming though." She said softly, letting the nails of one hand gently rake along the base of his skull in his hair.

"Thank you for inviting me. I would've never come to something like this on my own." Ashton had to admit that the Hades kids knew how to throw one hell of a party, especially considering everyone was fully dressed and the Bacchus girl hadn't shown up to start any...interesting issues. He'd be okay with just about anything at this point if it made Tere as happy as it seemed to.

Tere smiled and nodded "Of course, I wanted to see you again. Though, I do believe that brother of Mel's invited everyone, so technically he invited... I just gave you a reason to respond." She said with a soft laugh, still swaying with the slow beat of the music while pressing closer to him. "I'm glad you did." She said softly, resting her head on his shoulder for a moment.

Ashton chuckled, wrapping his arm around her before dancing slowly, making his way towards the edge of the floor. It was much nicer outside and he had heard the grounds were unparralled. "Still. If you hadn't been here, I wouldn't have accepted. I was almost worried that we were going to be a one hit wonder." It had been intended as a joke, but there was a hint of seriousness in his voice. They hadn't met back up since that night, at least not for long.

A grand entrance was what Rebecca wanted, but tonight, she needed to be a little more subtle. There were too many eyes to see her, but she hadn't been able to convince Geoffrey to attend the party with her. Normally she would've been perturbed, but tonight she wanted to play. Being a good girl could only be fun for so long.

Walking up to the first man she met, Rebecca pulled them out onto the dance floor. Sure, he had been talking, but who wouldn't want to dance with someone like her? Even if they didn't, they would soon. Her powers were working and tonight, they'd do over time.

Tere smiled as she looked up at him, "I don't do just one hit, I do three or four hits." She teased and then leaned up and whispered into his ear, "All in one night." She kissed his jaw then and then pulled back a little so she could take his arm. "Really though, I don't believe in one night stands... Why give up something that is good?" She asked, arching her brow at him with her question.

Accalia rolled her eyes as Bernie said to let Jason know how much he meant to her, but she didn't say anything. She felt a little more relaxed letting Bernard talk to Jasob for a moment. "Hey!" she said as Bernard claimed that she was 'red'. She blushed even harder at that and turned to hide her face from Bernard by moving it halfway behind Jasons shoulder. She nodded as Bern said they'd known each other for about five years, and she came back out from her hiding spot.

"Yeah, we've been working together for a long time. Bernard has always had a little crush on me," she joked. But as she laughed, her eyes fell upon a girl who just walked into a room.

She had successfully avoided being in tight spaces with Becca for five years, and now here they were at this party. She was grabbing someone, a guy, and she began to dance with him. Where was Geoff? Did the break up? Was she looking for a rebound?

She took a step away from the boys without knowing it, toward the door as she kept her eye on Becca for a moment. "Well, it was... um... I'll see you guys later," her night of elegance had been short lived as she walked toward the door. However, Mac was there to stop her...

Masin smiled and nodded as Aimery spoke of his shop, and his comment about voting for her. "I must visit your shop some time. After all, a Chancellor needs to look her best, right?" she joked a little and gave him a little wink. She hoped to be elected, of course, and she wanted to show support to all those who supported her, even if that was in the form of buying jewelry.

"Well, thank you for it. I, for one, prefer an elegant party to a raving one," it was true, though she still fit in at wilder parties just fine. This was much more her style, though. Masin nodded in acknowledgement as Melanie claimed the good style of the party was all thanks to Aimery.

At the mention of Zane, Masin tried to act as if she was uninterested, but her eyes had already fallen on the son of Pluto before they even mentioned him. Of course he was with Fin, the two were practically inseparable back in Rome from what Masin heard. She turned to Aimery as he brought up Zanes speaking of her. "Oh, does he? Well, we often work together. Being children of the 'Big Three' and all, people expect a lot from us. But you two know that," she sounded completely professional, ignoring the pulling in her gut that made her want to walk over to Zane.

When the girl asked who 'he' was in reference to Mac, she just laughed loudly without even answering the question. 'Danisande! That's beautiful," she complimented as Niks attention was turned to the two girls. Mac faux glared at him as he mocked being surprised by her looking beautiful. "Takes one to know one. Gods, did you get a full blown makeover? Your nose even seems to fit your face!" she stuck a tongue out at him, being far less graceful at mockery and jokes than he was.

Mac watched as Nik introduced himself to Danisande, and let her answer in response. She was a hunter, eh? Mac could never do a thing like that! She liked boys far too much. However, she totally understood the non-commitment thing, but she couldn't keep her hands off boys completely. Nope, that was not something she wanted to try out. "A hunter! That's impressive. Tell me, is it true that you guys turn into trees sometimes?" she asked Dani.

A couple minutes later, Mac caught sight of Accalia making a break for the door. She figured out why quickly... Becca had just walked in. Mac reached out and grabbed Accalias arm as she tried to make a break for it. "Hey, Lia. You don't have to leave because of her. Come on," she pleaded, trying to pull her close friend (and her masterpiece for the night) back toward the party. "You're just going to ditch him like that?" she asked, nodding her head toward the guy Accalia had been up close and personal with.
