A Night to Remember | All Members Invited

She smiled at that, that he had a love for sailing, even if he couldn't be at sea long, even if he needed the land. It almost reminded her almost of Davey Jones, but she tried not to think of that story. Tere smiled a bit more, "You need the land, I need the sea... But at least there is one good thing about this place..." She said with a smile and then leaned in and whispered "It's an island." as if it were a big secret. Then she looked around and smiled "What do you say we keep our tour going? They must have some freaky things in this big house." She asked, holding her hand out to him.

"Hmmm. I've heard they have a rather large library somewhere on the second floor. That has to be full of some creepy things, yes?" Ashton replied, grabbing her hand. "There are also whispers of a shrine to the house's namesake. You know, they should really turn this place in to a haunted house some time. They would make a killing. Just turn off the lights."

"A big reader are you?" The tone was teasing but she was truly curious about him, if he was into reading or something else. Then he mentioned the house being a good haunted house and she laughed, her head tilting back a little, revealing her long slender throat for a moment. When she looked back into his eyes she nodded, "That it would, and I'm sure if you mix that with whatever powers they may have and you have a recipe for success. So, shrine or Library?" She asked, letting him chose where they would go. It was nice to let someone else make a few decisions even if it was just which area to explore next.

"Hmmm. Let's go with the shrine. That has to be creeptacular, right?" This house had so many rumors surrounding it that it was a treasure trove of possibilities. As far as he knew, only a handful of people had been in before that night.

Leading Tere back towards the house, he pushed through the crowd until they found the entrance to another hallway that lead towards the rest of the floor rather than straight to the ballroom. "well, this looks promising."

Alek chuckled.

"Lead the way."

He'd set the drink down and leave with her!

Tere smiled and followed along with him through the room, was it just her or had many already left the party? She turned her attention back on Ashton and the hall they had stepped into. Smiling she gave his hand a gentle and playful tug. "Well then, shall we see what is behind door number one?" She said, waving her free hand like a game show girl.

Ashton laughed and opened the door to reveal a rather normal looking sitting room. What in the world was this doing down here? "Well, at least we have found one place that looks remotely normal. We can check that off of the scavenger hunt." Pulling Tere through the door, he closed it securely before jumping on to one of the couches.

Tere nodded to his observation and then giggled as they stepped in and he moved to jump on the couch. "One little monkey jumping on the couch..." She said in a singsong voice, walking up to him and holding her hand out to him, either to invite him back to the floor or to bring her up onto the couch with him, of course she had a feeling that the two of them doing such might break the furniture, she was positive her heels would rip the fabric. "This place is rather normal compared to what we've seen thus far."

"The torture chamber must be well concealed." He said sagely, taking her hand and jumping off the couch to land on the floor beside her. Exiting the room, her hand still in his, Ashton reentered the hallway to stand in front of the next door. "Alright. I'm taking bets now. Creepy or cool?" Pushing the door open, he motioned for Tere to enter in front of him with a whimsical bow.

She laughed softly and nodded "Well if that's what you want to see..." she teased, and then followed him into the hallway and looked to the next door that he opened. "Hmmmmm I don't know... what do I get if I win?" She asked before she started to make her way past him into the room, but she slowed as she brushed up against him and smiled sweetly to him. "I call creepy." She said with a wink before she stepped into the room and let her teal eyes take in the room.

Zane shook his head, "Oh and you think five years isn't long enough to justify a rehash?" He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, "It wasn't just her that 'died'. She didn't know you were alive. She doesn't know how you have been living your life for these past five years. Just like you don't know how she has been living." He shrugged, "Of course you know how I feel about honesty."

Zane was right, of course. He sad usually right. Fin nodded, smiling slightly and reaching a hand up to clap Zane on the shoulder, "why don't I come to you for advice more often?" He said, chuckling a bit. He glanced over at Zanes siblings, where Masin stood. He was grateful that Mel made him come... But part of him wanted to find Laine right now. Well, for now a sip of his drink would have to do.

Link wasn't exactly planning on attending the House of Hades party, but he decided it'd be nice to try out a party where he wasn't playing the music. Seeing how people acted in the crowd. Not that it was a concert, but it seemed important. Still, he didn't really know anyone there so he leaned against the wall most the time... when a blonde girl sipping champagne wandered near him, however,  he took a chance to meet somebody.

He stepped up beside her. "So, you a lonely guest too or a host watching over the flock?" he asked.

The blonde blinked as someone sidled up alongside her. She turned her head, her expression mostly neutral save for a faint quirk of her lips and an even slighter glint of amusement in her blue eyes.

"Not quite either, truth be told." Well. That was confusing; but that was also where her amusement stemmed from. She wasn't lonely, per se, she was actually quite comfortable keeping herself for company. "I have no problems helping my siblings host, and I would not consider myself a lonely guest. I do not believe we have met..?"

Link nodded as the girl explained herself. "Awe, so you don't live here but you're one of the siblings. That's cool," he really wasn't sure if it was cool or not. Maybe her siblings hated her and kicked her out! SAD! Or maybe she hated them and left or... or maybe she just decided to do her own thing. Not everything was dramatic!

"We haven't. I'm Link Gates, and you?" he said, offering a hand for her to shake.
