Loose Count | Battle Thread ((Open))

Dani had been relaxing in her apartment, enjoying the light breeze that hit her on the small patio that she had, reading one of her many romance novels (50 Shades of Grey <insert snicker here>). However, something caught her attention, the birds in the woods all took flight at the same time. Something that only happened when something was scaring them. She dropped her book on the floor and stood, looking over the railing, she could see what was spooking the animals. They had been found. Titans! Egyptians! "No..." She whispered before she turned and ran for her door. As she did, her bow and quiver appeared on her back. She made her way down the stairs in record speed and headed for an area where she would have the advantage.

Finding one of the buildings that would put her out of sight but still give her a 360 of her own surroundings and line of site for the attacking invaders. She used anything she could to make her way to the roof. Once she was up there, she glanced around for the thickest area and pulled her bow off her back. Notching her arrows, she released at one of the invaders.

Rowen hadn't even been on the island for an entire month. There was something about Egyptians and battles at some camps but she didn't know too much about it. In fact, she was sitting in a barren apartment trying to decide what exactly she was going to put on the wall when she heard a loud noise from the beach. It drew her out onto the patio where she saw her neighbor for the first time, looking across the woods. Ro noticed a book that had been thrown to the ground in haste and she bit her lip, "What is it?"

As Dani fired arrows at them, a small group broke apart from the others and made to get into the building. Another group had broken off and headed toward the residences surrounding them, planning for a ransack. Dani took down several army men, but they learned fast to stay tight and raise their shields, slightly horrified at the silver hunters arrows.

One of the groups broke into a random apartment, bursting into to fire arrows at a girl standing on a balcony.

Two warriros busrst onto the roof. One hanging back to fire arrows at the Huntress, the other charging forward with an axe.

Nathan had left the party early, deciding to catch an extra shift at the hospital before heading home. Before he could make it, he heard the screams from the beach and the sound of running. This was it, they had been found. Picking up his speed, he ran through the trees just in time to see a small group of soldiers attempting to over take an apartment building with a younger woman inside. His instincts should have told him to run, but Apollo's blood ran through his veins and the abandoned bow and quiver on the back of an Egyptian soldier were calling. Notching an arrow, he sent it flying towards the balcony before ducking behind a tree for cover.

The sound of a door being kicked open behind her drew her attention mid pull on her arrow, so as she turned, she released the arrow at the man coming at her with the Axe, her aim sending it for a head shot. Then she let out a slight hiss as the archer got an arrow into her leg. She looked up and just as soon as she could had another arrow notched into place and releasing, aimed at his head. When he was dead she'd turn, looking around to see who else she could shoot, aiming for one of the men going for her neighbor. It was a VERY long shot, but her blessing meant that her arrows would never miss their target.

Dante arrived just after he saw his brother release an arrow into an enemy on the balcony where a woman was, on closer inspection he saw it was Rowen the woman he had only recently met. He notched an arrow himself and released it into another Egyptian enemy but he groaned in pain his side burned not just from the run he made from the wedding tent but his injuries, mainly the one on his side. He slung his bow behind his back as he drew his sword and continued to run towards his brother as another @theenemy approached from the side, he made a slash towards the Egyptians throat but fell to his knees when he felt a shooting pain run up his right leg he tried to stand so he could press on the pain was nearly unbearable but he knew that he had to reach his brothers side and provide support.

Turning he saw a spear had buried itself deep into his calf and any attempt to stand was met with white hot pain, he grabbed the spear and pulled it out letting out a scream before he plunged it into his original targets chest. He managed to limp towards his brother taking up a defensive position. "Well I see you joined in the battle, I just left the wedding Masin and the Chancellor are on the way to the bunker." Dante said to his brother. Wincing when he put to much pressure on his leg.

Nathan swore loudly as he took in his younger brother's state, pulling him back behind the tree he was using as a shield. "Will you stay still for half a minute?" He ordered, placing his hand against Dante's nearest wound. First Captain or not, Dante was still his brother and he'd be damned if he let him bleed out in front of him. The larger wounds would remain open, but they would at least partially heal right now. In a fraction of the normal time, he had healed as many of the smaller wounds that he could before pulling away. Much more and he'd be a useless lump.

"Have you seen Tylar? She wasn't there, was she?" He hadn't seen his foster daughter at the wedding, but the relative calm he had been feeling up until this point was beginning to give way to terror. If she got hurt, he would never forgive himself.

Before he could dwell on the thought too much, another pair of Egyptians came up along the path behind them. Reaching for the discarded bow, he loosed an arrow at one of them before falling in beside Dante

Dani continued her assault on the enemy, of course it was harder to knock them down once they knew where she was hiding, she'd resort to flesh wounds to get them to drop her guard before going in for the kill shot. One Egyptian had teleported to where she was but she had heard the sound of his appearance and turned, welcoming him with an arrow straight through his chest.

When she turned back, she noticed Dante and one guy disappearing behind a tree and soon after two more enemies coming up behind them. One guy fell to an arrow shot and in that split second she loosed an arrow into the remaining guy, getting him through the neck.

When he was pulled behind the tree and he felt the healing energy he realize he was feeling better, even though he knew that he was not going to be fully healed being able to stand with out pain was a huge benefit for him. Nathaniel then asked, "Have you seen Tylar? She wasn't there, was she?" Dante shook his head, to be honest he hadn't seen her, he had been trying to ensure the chancellor was alright, she was the head of their government. "I'm sorry I didn't, they were coming from everywhere. I can't promise you that she is not fighting somewhere else, I..." He was interrupted as another pair of Egyptians came up along the path behind them. Nathaniel reached for his discarded bow, and loosed an arrow at one of them before falling in beside Dante, when Dante turned to strike the next one he saw him fall with an arrow through his neck, looking where the shot came there was Danisande, he nodded thanks in her direction before turning back to his brother.

He placed a hand on his brothers shoulder, "I will not promise you anything, from what I have seen we are holding our own, but we are now more than ever at war and there will be losses. I will promise you that if I see Ty I will do what ever I can to keep her safe, even if it means my life." He smiled despite the horror going on around him he knew that he spoke the truth to his brother, he would give his life to see his happiness through. "I came this way to see if any of the Minotaur regiment were here, Braxton or Owain, you haven't seen them have you.?"

Nathan shook his head, though he felt a slight bit of relief knowing that Dante would look out for Tylar. He himself would likely leave this place to look for her soon, but for now...there was no where better to be. "I haven't seen a soldier yet, other than you." Where were the Colonels and the Commander? Surely they were coming soon. "Have you tried the Garrison yet? They may be with Colonel Rockefeller." Braxton's hands were still likely tied up in the mess Nathan had left him with earlier. He wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't still at the hospital, which he felt the need to come clean about. "Wyatt may still be in the E.R. with Agent Thorn and his sister. I can't make any promises, but that's where I left them."

Dani returned the nod and then once again returned to taking down any of the enemies she could spot. Long shot or short. One by one by one she was laying them flat. If they looked to be going for another person, she'd bring them down. Soon she couldn't see any other enemies and she started to make her way down off the building, the moment her feet touched the ground through, two men grabbed her from behind, tearing her bow from her. She let out a loud scream and tried to fight her way out of their grip.

To be honest, Nikolai didn't attend the wedding because he just didn't give a damn about it.  Although, once the fighting had started he grabbed his bow and arrow from his apartment and headed out to join the fighting, archer style.  He did give a damn about the safety of those of the island.  He was still a demigod who had trained how to fight in Camp Half-Blood, after all.

The moment he got out of the apartment buildings, he saw that a girl was being attacked by two men.  It was Dani! Well, well.  He didn't know they were neighbors.  She was another archer, and he could sympathize for her having hear bow and arrow taken away from her.  He brought his bow, which had two arrows strung to it already, up to the level in which it would be possible to shoot, quickly drew the bow, and then released two arrows, one hitting the first guy in the forehead and the other hitting the second one on the throat.

They collapsed on the ground, and he quickly stepped toward her.  He looked her over, but she looked alright.  After all, the men only grabbed her. "Well, you're not hurt," he said brusquely.  "So pick up your bow and come shoot some living targets with me."

As she spotted Nik, Dani stilled, giving him the targets he would need to take them down. And down they went. She fell a bit as they went down, their weight pulling her down with them. But as he closed in she stood up and dusted herself off. "Sounds fun." She said as she called her bow back to her, it reappeared within her hands, her quiver at her back. "Thank you for that..." She said softly and then broke out into a run - limping a little because she had been injured, just not by the brutes that grabbed her, but by the arrow that hit her earlier. "Let's get these jerks."

"I was going to head to the garrison next but if Braxton is at the hospital I may need to make my way there and alert him, to the threat." The fact that Braxton hadn't mentioned his sister was back was a bit upsetting but all of that could be explained at another time, right now they had to focus on getting through the battle and surviving. We can't stay here much longer, thanks for the healing. It's nice that I can stand without pain, its not perfect but seriously make a difference."

He began to break cover blocking and arrow with his sword just in time, that had been a close call, he grabbed his bow and notched an arrow and he began picking off the few targets within his reach. Though he would have to grab his arrows back to make sure he didn't run out on his trip to the hospital. "Nathaniel, be careful, I will try and find Ty but if I can't and she is safe, you need to be alive for her as well. Also if I go to the hospital what floor would Braxton be on?"

"E.R.. Bottom floor in the private rooms to the right." He relayed, firing off a few shots of his own. "Take care of yourself Dante. I'll find you again soon." Always an older brother at heart, Nathan almost found himself following his brother. If it wasn't for Ty and the need to find her, he would have. Breaking off into the woods, he left Dante to head back towards the wedding tent in hopes of finding someone who could help.
