Dante was nearly out of breath, for all his training and running, he was tired. His body felt as if it had run several marathons and still had to pull every last bit of energy out of his tank. It didn't help that he was wounded, even with his brothers healing he was injured his side and leg were problems but manageable at the moment. As he neared the hospital the battle seemed to die off for a bit but he knew it was not going to last. He had to find Braxton and based on what his brother said Melanie was most likely nearby. As he entered the Hospital he said to the staff, "Concordia is under attack, if you have or can get any weapons then arm yourselves." He couldn't stop he had to find Braxton as fast as he could. Turning to the right and the private rooms he started to search them, he finally found Braxton and Melanie in one. "Colonel, the island is under attack. Titans and Egyptians are attacking, the Chancellor, Dylan and Masin are making their way to the bunker. The hospital doesn't appear to have any enemies nearby, but..." A scream from down the hall interrupted him he groaned knowing the safety of the hospital no longer existed. "I haven't seen anyone else from the Garrison though they could be engaged anywhere on the island. Orders sir?"@braxton @accaila

Cassandra had been back at the barracks whenever the attack started. She had been training and waiting for Melanie to resurface, even though she knew where she was. It was her job to know. So whenever everything went to Tartarus, Cassie had wasted no time in grabbing one of the go-bags from out of a closet in her room and heading straight for the hospital. Rounding the corner at the same time First Captain Tyrell entered the room, Cassie came up behind him to throw the duffle bag at Melanie.
"I saw Captain Walker heading inland with the Commander." She relayed quietly, attempting to stay out of the commanding officers' way for as long as possible. It was well known that Colonel Wyatt wasn't very approving of their department, but the information would be vital. Noticing a small nod from Melanie, she made her way between the two men to stand by her side.
The look that passed between the two agents was brief, but spoke volumes.Where have you been was met by I needed you here. No matter how far Melanie came, Cassie had the feeling that she would always need the council.

Melanie's first instinct had been to go to Dante as soon as he entered the room, but she managed to stop herself at the last minute. She could tell he was injured, but he was also reporting for duty and she couldn't get in the way of that. Especially if what he said was true. According to the screams now resonating from the building, she had to assume it was.
With a nod in Cassie's direction, Mel ducked behind a screen that was meant to be pulled around the bed long enough to change. Thank the Gods that Cassie had come prepared. As soon as she was mostly done, she threw the duffel bag and its remaining contents on to a table with her jacket, fastening the straps to her sheaths. Her weapons in place, Melanie finally shrugged on the heavy jacket and rejoined the group. "Alright, Colonel. Where do you want us?"[ @braxton @kkram265 @cass

He was torn. Simply torn. Tavie was still unconscious and he wanted to be there when she woke up, but this was bigger than Tavie. At least he knew that on some level. But in reality, nothing was more important to him than his sister's safety, "We need to make sure the people in the city are safe. Get to the city streets and use the shadows to transport people back here." He turned his blue eyes to Dante and nodded toward the large curtained emergency room, "Tyrell, you and I will cover the Hospital. This will be a major target if they find it. Many sick and injured people will want to come here. We need to secure the location."
He stepped back and glanced down the hallway. There were already people wandering in on their own looking terrified. He grabbed Melanie's arm and pulled her aside, ducking through a door into a small, dark closet-size room. He stood silent for a moment, knowing it was more awkward than what he was going to say but he couldn't bring the words forward, "Mel, be safe." He finally said in order to distract from what he had been wanting to say, not that he knew exactly what that was.

Dante looked at Mel just before Cass handed her some new clothes. Something seemed off, and not just because she was wearing Braxton's clothes, he wanted to ask her what was going on. He had to focus on the battle at hand so when she came out and was focused on getting her own orders he waited for Braxton, who was lost in thought it seemed. Mel was tasked with using the shadows to bring people to the hospital as a secondary defensive point. Dante himself was tasked with securing the hospital with Braxton, his heart dropped Mel though a professional wasn't fully in the game, again it was just a feeling, but he didn't like it. While Braxton and Mel were occupied he looked at Cass, "I could use your help on the roof until we get more archers. It will..." he trailed off looking in the direction Braxton and Mel had gone, "To be honest I don't like that she is going out there alone. Something is off and I don't like it at all. Dante sighed knowing he had lost focus, lost the clear focus of the battle surrounding him. When Braxton and Mel did emerge he cast a quick look at Mel hoping she knew he trusted her but at the same time was worried. He turned back to Braxton and said, "Colonel, we could use Cassandra's help on the roof until more archers make their way here or are brought here by Mel. I'll follow your lead Sir."

As soon as Melanie left the room, Cass began to panic slightly. The younger woman wasn't on her game, and anyone who actually knew her could see that. When Dante confirmed her fears, it didn't help her in the least. "I'm fine with taking the roof, but you are right. She shouldn't go alone. We would just slow her down though, and that would hurt her more than anything else." It was a bitter pill to swallow, but one she knew she couldn't avoid. "She's under too much pressure. Too much has changed in too short of a time. I've seen that look before, and I wouldn't doubt it at all if she didn't do something stupid soon. Not tonight, but soon." If Melanie made it back to the hospital, that was.
Reaching over to pull Melanie into a small hug, she whispered something into the younger girl's ear before returning to her place behind the first captain. She wasn't sure where the Colonel would want to send her, and with a superior in the room...well, it was better to be safe than sorry.

Nodding as Braxton spoke, Melanie couldn't help but wonder if splitting up was the best idea. At the end of the day, Brax was right though. She needed to get out there and bring people in, especially if she could find reinforcements. The hospital wouldn't hold long with just the three of them. Motioning for Cass to stay, she followed Braxton out into the hallway and into the closet that he unceremoniously pulled her in to.
Staring up at him in the faint light the closet allowed, Melanie could see the conflicting emotions she felt in her own heart reflected on his face. The three words that he finally settled on spoke volumes, but nothing more than that he actually used her name. "I'll be back in five minutes Brax. If not, send Cass. She'll find me, she always does." The intent for her to leave Cass behind probably hadn't sunk in yet, but it was for the best. Melanie had been out on her own a hundred times before, but today...it felt different.
For some reason, she couldn't just leave things like that. Not after everything that had happened in the last few days. Almost without thinking, she wrapped her arms around Braxton's waist and hugged him tightly before letting go and moving towards the door. "See you in a few." She said with a sad smile, returning to where Dante stood. His request for archers was sound, but where she would find them was yet to be seen. With a quizzical look in Brax's direction, she waited to see if he would change his orders and send her after reinforcements instead.

(ooc: don't mind this post. she's just here for plot purposes later on. she doesn't need replies)
Juliet ran towards the hospital, not quite sure where else to go. She had been out on a jog with Blake through the woods whenever the chaos started. A few heart pounding minutes later, she managed to make her way through the doors of the safe haven. Following another survivor in to a crowded room, she crouched down beside Blake and tried to calm her breathing. Thankfully, the only injuries she managed to sustain were bruises and scrapes from falling in her panic. She had been lucky. Very lucky.

Braxton nodded for a moment, considering what had been suggested. It was true, they would need cover from above and he could use the eyes int he sky. Looking around the room for a moment, Braxton reached over the counter and pulled a nurse's baby monitor set off the counter. Giving Cass the receiving end, Braxton said, "Report any movement outside the walls, especially if it is the enemy." He said in a calm voice, looking at Dante for a second before shaking his head at Melanie, "You should go. The longer we stand here, the less people we can help." As if adding an after thought, "Send anyone this way, at the command of Colonel Wyatt. You hear me? Anyone. We need the soldiers here."

(Taking a time Jump and I am approved to mention a few Mel and Cass positions by Cailia. Thanks again for that makes it easier)
After Braxton had given Mel her orders she left as quickly as she could and Cassandra took the monitor and headed for the roof, Dante followed his commander as they began ushering in many of the non combatants, the children and other demi gods who were not fighters. It took nearly an hour before Cass started to report enemy troops closing in, by that time though they had more archers and volunteer fighters. Mel still was trying to find anyone from the garrison who weren't engaged in combat. His brothers had managed to find their way to the hospital and were on the roof defending from above.
They began engaging the enemy and though Braxton and Dante were capable fighters and the archers above helped they were not a proper fighting army and were pushed back. He didn't know how long it had been but there were several times he caught sight of Mel rescuing more people who were unable to fight. As he was engaged in a fight with one of the titans he caught sight of several dead Romans, Greeks and Titans all rising and fighting again. During his distraction he felt the burning sensation of a blade sliding across his arm. He turned and thrust his own into the titan and called to his commanding officer, "Colonel... I think there is a necromancer here. Unless we really didn't lose that many and our kills weren't kills."

Returning to the hospital, Melanie swore loudly at the sight of more enemy soldiers heading their way. Her runs were producing fewer people now, with only two trailing behind her this time. As soon as the hospital came in to view, she dropped the shadows and allowed the younger men to join their commanding officers before she caught the end of Dante's statement. If he was right, then the Necromancer was likely close to them, very close at that. Spotting a figure in dark clothes and a hooded jacket, Melanke made the decision to engage them herself. After all, Necromancy was a power normally reserved for Hades kids. Who better to fight one than her, or one of her brothers?
Creeping up behind him, she made to stab him before being thrown slightly backwards, not enough to hurt, but enough to throw her off balance. When she regained her footing, she stared up at the younger man before jumping to her feet. The shock on her face was evident as her blue eyes met hazel ones she had never thought to see again. "Damien?" She whispered, stepping backwards away from the boy as she spoke.

Braxton didn't know exactly how many times he had pulled the same sword from the air and discarded it into a Titan warrior's corpse, but he knew it was enough to be concerned if a necromancer was around. Reaching in the air with both hands, Braxton yanked a bow and an arrow from no where. Drawing the string back, Braxton's eyes focused on Melanie for a moment, as if her image was calling to him. Something in the pit of his stomach dropped when he saw her, but he couldn't exactly explain it. Loosing his shot, and arrow found itself embedded firmly in a Titan's skull near the edge of the tree line before disappearing into nothing.
He narrowed his eyes and tried to focus on Melanie again, but he must have lost her among the shadows. It made his heart sink even more, if that was even possible. There was no way for Braxton to know if she was okay. Suddenly he regretted sending her away. He should have made her stay at the Hospital with him. Close and protected. Somewhere deep inside he knew that sending her out, with the shadows, was the right thing to do. The professional thing to do. But the pounding of his heart in his ears told him a different story completely.
Then he found her again, near a figure Braxton couldn't make out. He summoned another arrow and notched it, pointing it carefully toward the hooded figure Melanie was creeping up on. But something made him pause. A look on Melanie's face. What did she say to him? Braxton lowers his bow, frowning as he tried to understand what was happening. His distraction with Melanie had cost him. An Egyptian demi-god, or maybe a Titan, Brax couldn't actually tell, was suddenly right next to him. Braxton could feel the bite of a dagger sliding between his ribs, probably missing vital organs my centimeters. He yelled and summoned a battle axe letting it fall into existence right into the face of his attacker. He looked to Dante to see what he was doing.

Dante saw Mel get thrown back and saw her mouth something but he was to far to hear her in the ensuing battle. He watched as Braxton was stabbed and shot an arrow into one of Camp Bast's many fighters who was about to attack Braxton from behind. He then let two shots fly in the direction of the hooded stranger who seemed to be the necromancer. However his heart stopped beating in moments when he saw his shots miss his target, they instead hit his best friend as she seemed to twist to avoid a kill shot but still had one arrow lodge in her right side and shoulder. As she fell the nodded figure turned on him and he knew this wouldn't be good. Turning to Braxton he let formality fall, "Brax, you know I didn't mean... Gods let her be alright." he began to run towards her as he lost focus. He suddenly felt the bite of a blade sliding into his side.
He stopped running and turned to the enemy and thrust an arrow up killing the man in an instant. He let go of the arrow and pulled the sword from his body, he could feel the warm liquid start to flow from his side, he didn't care. He began to focus on all the enemies near him working on taking them all down with his sword and the one he pulled from his side. He knew if he managed to live after this he would have to ask Braxton for more sparing sessions, though he was good he was no where near as talented as he was with a bow. He felt his energy draining but he wasn't going to stop till he knew what happened to Mel.

Before she had a chance to react to what was going on, Melanie caught sight of Dante taking aim towards Damien. Without thinking, she moved past her brother to stand between him and the impending arrows. She didn't understand how, or why, but her brother was here, and there was no way he was leaving her now, not even if it cost her her life. She didn't even have time to scream or brace herself before the hits came, one to her shoulder and one to the side. The impact sent her hurdling towards the ground, where her head hit the concrete with a hard thud. Briefly, she was aware of someone calling her name before her vision blacked out, and Melanie drifted away into the darkness.

Alex let his hood fall backwards as he crouched down by his sister, shaking her slightly as the animated bodies around him began to fight back against the intruders. It had taken him a minute to figure out their powers, but now they were up and functional enough for him to focus on Melanie. "Mel. Melanie. Wake up. You have to get up." He called, hoping she would respond. Though Hades had trained him for many situations, he wasn't a healer. The only reason that Alex knew Melanie wasn't dead, was because the force that would have allowed him to control her body once she was gone hadn't manifested yet. It was his only consolation.
Noticing that the man who shot his sister was attempting to make his way towards them, he stepped over her and placed his staff in front of him, ready for an attack. If anything, he wished the man would come close enough. If his sister died, then there would be no stopping him until the stranger's soul was waiting for judgement in the halls of his father.
