He would take another drink before looking her in the eye.
"Look- I didn't ask to come here. To be jailed and then let loose onto the streets. I also didn't ask you to punch me in the face. You hit me, I hit back. And as for hitting on you....I find you attractive. If that is disrespectful in your culture or not, I don't care. I speak my mind and I am not ashamed of this."
He would offer her another drink from the bottle.
"You must learn to lighten up, Garrison officer. Try to have fun. Stay, maybe. Drink with me."

The entire time Alek was talking, Melanie was taking in to consideration a certain new Tribune-Sergeant she could have made Fin delegate this mission to. She would have to tell him about that later. Now she took the opportunity to roll her eyes before making her way to the door.
"If you change your mind, make your way to the Garrison or the House of Hades. Someone should be able to point you in my direction."

He would turn toward her and speak once more.
"I hate to see you go, but damn if I don't love watching you leave."
He was clearly watching her backside as she walked out, drinking from the bottle. He might go to this house of hell just to see what the place was like and hit on her some more. Maybe she had family members he could piss off, which would be totally hilarious. He would walk to the door after she walked out, holding it open and shouting.
"And you know where to find me, Garrison officer, should you ever need to unwind!"
He laughed, not caring who heard as he closed his door.
