A rather light sleeper, normally - and now slipping back to consciousness as it was - the stirrings and muttering drew her towards the surface...
And when Alek gasped, Kyrie's eyes fluttered and cracked open before quickly flinging themselves wide open as she tried to orient herself in unfamiliar and not-quite-remembered territory. Where was sh—oh, she was... She'd been drinking. The dull throb in her head, and dry mouth attested to that. She wasn't alone.
Blue eyes flicked around, then down to the floor. Her company missing, she sat up a little to look around, to see Alek staring pensively at nothing in particular. She leaned forward and grabbed her glass, slowly draining the last of the water.
Testing herself after a moment, she stood, and found herself steadier. Setting the glass on the counter as she slipped by - she'd be back for more H2O after - she revisited the washroom, leaving Alek to himself for another minute or two.
Slipping quietly back, and frowning to herself, she refilled her glass...and took a slow mouthful. It was late. She hadn't meant to sleep...but, well, what happened, happened. She watched Alek, but, if he said nothing, she would cautiously - and quietly - break both the ice and his train of thoughts.
"How is your head..?"

He turned back to her as she spoke, before looking down at the now empty bottle of Vodka. That was his last- at least he had someone to share it with. Blaze. Blaze. He pounded that name into his head, intent to track the man down and pick a fight, never mentioning Kiyr. It wasn't because he didn't like that the fellow kept her waiting- he just felt you really knew someone when you fought them.
"Heads fine. No more hair of the dog left to really cure the acid stomach though. Oh well."
He grinned, putting a hand on her shoulder.
"I have decided you and I shall be Comrades. You need me, girl, you come ask, yes?"
He would keep the broad smile- if you drank with a Russian and didn't die or wake up robbed, you were friends. That's just how things were in his book.

Hair of the dog? He ate dog hair..? That didn't seem right. Her mind was still fuzzy. It might have been an herb, or something that was basic to counteract the acidity.
She blinked a couple times as his arm settled over her shoulder again. The small blonde processed his words quickly, though it seemed slowly to her, and nodded with a slight smile.
"The same for you, of course. Now.,. Food to chase away some of your stomach issues? And perhaps, if you have nothing else to do, you'd come back to the beach and we can continue picking up the debris?"
