There was an undeniable connection between life and light, it was true. Kyrie had never disputed it. But there was an interesting process that was independent of the light in these photosynthetic plants. A process that could only occur at night, meant for survival, but not to be sustained over long periods of time.
And though most days she certainly preferred the night, she couldn't shun the sun, either.
The blonde smiled to herself as she worked, bending to tend the earth. There were times she could be slightly envious of those that could encourage and coax growth and a bountiful harvest. But, if truth were to be told, she would have it no other way. The hard work, her hard effort, meant there was value in it. It was not a thing of instant gratification, and for that she was grateful. For them, she had no doubt that being able to do that was just as fulfilling, but for her... The blue-eyed woman wouldn't trade it for the world.
Besides, her own gifts were great in their own way, and there was much she could do for versatility, she just had to be careful to not exhaust herself while doing so. With a sigh, she straightened and wiped the back of her forearm against her forehead to brush away the sweat forming there. It was approaching afternoon, and getting really warm. She was weeding, for what it was worth, and enjoying it. The blonde's blue eyes swept over the rolling fields as she stepped onwards, plucking another weed and adding it to the woven basket in her other arm.
