The sound of swords meeting filled the air, ringing, echoing through the sky. Grunting and panting, the sound of feet moving this way and that. It filled the garrison with its symphony. Tere's eyes tracked Scarlet and Rose as they moved around her. Scarlet came first, and then Rose, each one going for a different attack, Tere brought one sword down, and another up to meet the two girls in the middle, to bring their swords towards each other and force them back. Technically it was one on one on one, but it seemed that Scarlet and Rose had got into their mind that they needed to bench their captain first. Which was fine by Tere, after others had made her feel like she was less than a fighter, she needed this. She needed to feel like people had to gang up on her because she was the better fight.
Scarlet brought a slice towards Tere and Rose went to cut down. Tere blocked Scarlet, bringing their singing blades together in such a way that Scarlet actually ended up blocking Rose. All three of them were pressed together, each one of them looking into the others eyes, seeing who would make the next move. It was Tere that brought her swords up to an angle that made both girls think that was her main move, but they both missed the foot that Tere brought up, kicking her second in the gut and causing her to stumble over Rose.
Once Tere had been properly healed, and had her backside reamed, she decided that her and the girls would get back to their sparing habits. At least Scarlet and Rose were all about sparing, none of them throwing jibes at the other. Just sparing, getting their feet, honing their skills. On land, relying on their power was dangerous. On land, they needed to rely on their skills, skills they had picked up from their travels. From Capoeira to Chinese martial arts of all kinds. The former was showing more as each girl, while still using their swords, still seemed to move more like they were dancing with each other.
