AIN'T GOING OUT LIKE THAT | mac, accalia, esme, quinn

Before Mac could assist with a change of subject, the neighbors began the usual routine. Mac rolled her eyes, nodding in Quinns direction. "My thoughts exactly. What's wrong with them this time?" She asked, more if a rhetorical question though.

She turned to Lia, "on happier notes, how are things with Jason?"

At the mention of Jason, Accalias expression hardened, then slowly morphed into sadness. Asked shook her head, "I have no idea. He left me alone last night... We got in a fight," she started to explain, reaching her hands back to rest on the counter behind her. She turned to Quinn. She knew Q didn't like Jason already. Did she want Q to say something cruel about him? Or did she want comfort? "He's mad because I..." She looked back toward Mac, suddenly feeling strange addressing Q with this, "I kissed Geoff. A few weeks ago," at braced herself.

Whoa, what? Quinn stared at Lia for a moment, processing what all she had said. Jason left her. Okay, so maybe Quinn wasn't Jason's biggest fan but Lia had liked him so there had to be some kind of reason, right? But the reason, that's what got her, "You...kissed...GEOFF?" She made a face like she smelled something gross and pretended to gag on the counter, "Why?" Okay so maybe the idea didn't repulse quite as much as she made it seem, but the exaggeration would help Lia feel better about everything.

As the two girls stared at her, Accalia tried not to cringe. She knew they would be upset about it, even if it was for her own safeties sake. Quinn was the first one to speak up. The gag was a nice touch, it made Lia smile a little. "Gods... I don't know," she said, relaxing and leaning toward Q, "we were on the boat trying to get ready for the quest and we got to talking..." she shrugged a little, trying to look innocent. "He kissed me, I think I kissed back... then we fell asleep on the boat. Gods,"she shook her head, "we woke up sitting together." It was silly of her to be nervous. These were her best friends!

"My Gods, aren't you the slut," Mac joked, laughing as Accalias embarrassment showed on her face. "I don't see anything wrong with that. You two never really had closure, so why not keep the drama going? But," her face became serious, "don't go off anywhere alone with him where he could leave you to die. Seriously," Mac rolled her eyes a little at Lias gullible nature. Mac didn't trust Geoff, not even a little bit, but she couldn't deny the whole 'sleepover' thing was kind of funny.
