Birthday Surprises | Juliet

Riley allowed himself to be lead down the stairs and as she picked the movie he quickly grabbed the popcorn setting on the table in front of them. When she settled down next to him he smiled, and wrapped his arms around her shoulders and was content to stay like that, until Jules moved one of his hands to her stomach and he was going to pull it away but he waited to see what she did and there was no movement, no attempt to pull away. When she moved closer to him he nearly crumbled though they were not in a perfect place they had already made leaps and bounds.

Tilting Jules head a little so he could look into her beautiful eyes he said "How did I ever get so lucky? You have just given me a gift to top all others. I know we are not perfect and there are things we need to work on but... Right here and now couldn't get any better. I am so in love with you Jules thank you for giving me the chance to tell you that over and over again." He then captured her lips in a searing kiss.

Breaking the kiss, she looked up,at him breathlessly before smiling. "Riley David Bennett, one of these days I'm going to convince you that I'm not giving you a chance. I was always yours, you were always mine. There is nothing else in this world for us." Turning in his arms so that she could see him better, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him again. "Yes, there are issues, but I wouldn't rather have them with anyone but you. We will get through this, sooner rather than later." Hugging him close, she rested her forehead against his, trying to steady her breathing.

His heart was racing and a smile formed at her words, if there was such a thing as soul mates they had found each other. They couldn't stop being near each other and he knew he would love her for the rest of his life, how he wanted to ask her the question now, how he wanted to show her that he was never leaving her again. He wanted to be with her for the rest of his life and knew that with or with out that ring it would happen, he just wanting to make it official.

His one hand touched her stomach through the fabric of her new pajamas and his smile grew larger, though they had lost a child it showed they could have one. Only time would tell when. His free hand touched her cheek as he ran his fingers through her hair, he tilted so that he placed a soft kiss on her nose."Call me stubborn, though I knew from the moment you came to camp, the awkward and nervous 15 year old, I knew then in a single look that I would love you till the day I died and even beyond, we will always be a family with many children or none at all. You are my family, and you are the only person I will ever need, everything else is a bonus." Smiling again he placed a tender kiss on her lips before both hand found their place on her waist.

"Everything will come together when it is time. Until then, I just want to lay here with you." Snuggling closer in to his chest, Juliet breathed a contented sigh before closing her eyes. This was absolute bliss in her mind, if only Riley could see that. He was still blaming himself over things that they couldn't change, and that was what held them back the most. They couldn't heal until he was ready to move forward. "I love you Ri. This has to be one of the best birthdays yet."

Riley kissed her softly nodding in agreement. This day really was one of the best days he had ever spent with Juliet. Turning to watch the movie he pulled her closer placing both hands on her stomach, a protective and loving embrace. Soon maybe they would be sharing this moment with many children, or maybe they would grow old together here in this house with all the love and passion they had left. This was home, she was home. He was finally home.
