The Dragon core.
The dragon core is a group of collective individuals who believe that the populace deserves more than it's been given. More than has been granted to them by the chancellor, the government, those in power. Nothing can be granted to man save that which is given by another living being, in this day and age. Jobs, money, materials....breath. The same goes for power. David Blaze, Storm Dragon and Elder of the Dragon Core, believes that power is fluid, changing in the eyes of those who grant it.
David doesn't want power, he wants rationalization. He wants change. He wants to see government in which a singular ruler is no longer required, and the people can be self governed. Without necessity for things like advertisements or money. Or changing the minds of the people by attacking those you are challenging. No. He wants an even ground to speak from. A podium in which each person simply says what they want for those they wish to rule, and then the people vote. No fighting, no smear campaigns. Just...pure unadulterated freedom.
Still, he knows how the world works, and so must accept the burden of hypocrisy to build a better world. He has come to love the island, and will see it free from all forms of tyrannical rule. But first, he must become the ruler himself. So, he formed the Dragons, a group of people who simply want the same things.
To be safe.
To be heard.
To be free.
Leader - David Blaze (The Storm Dragon) Second in command: None yet The ranks: None yet.
"It's not enough."
He grabbed the paper he had been writing on, stuffing it away into his pocket. He was alone, shirtless and sweaty, on the other side of the island from everyone. He had no clue about the battle, but it wouldn't have surprised him. He expected it. The titans hunted them like monster possessed. Eventually, they would catch wind of the place. Still, oblivious in his current state, he would continue what he was doing.
After tucking away the paper he would grab the hammer and a sack of nails, walking over to the side of the building to climb up and continue to build the second field of apartments he had been commissioned for.
OOC: Aless requested to join.

The wedding was amazing. The reception? Just as great! Aless was smiling ear to ear, snapping pictures. She figured they had their own photographers, but she wanted her own take, her own angles. It was like floating~
She emanated the feeling, and absorbed the radiance of the event.
Drifting to the outside and changing some settings on her camera, the young redhead lifted the device and started snapping shots. Guests. Decor. Dancing, candles, lights, music, the space was her playground. Tucking a wayward curl behind her ear - the rest of her hair swept up in a fashionably tousled updo - she turned to sweep her lens over the tables and guests. So many happy people! She could just di...
What was that?
She squinted through her lens, then gasped and backed up a step. The commotion on the far end suddenly swelled with the onslaught of warriors.
Alarmed, along with everyone else, she turned and grabbed the nearest person to her to push them along.
"Everyone! Run! Go!"
She moved off towards the side, trying to get people to go towards safety. She was no expert in combat—zero fighting experience, whatsoever. So when more Titans and Egyptians veered out of the dark, she shoved the person the other way and followed, ducking with a scream of panic. Darting away to lead the warriors away from the other civilians, she took a deep breath as she bolted into the dark, and shrieked the first name that came to mind. She was here, Aless knew she was! She's talked with her earlier—her sister would ensure she was safe!
"KYRIE!!"

David's eyes came up with a sigh at the scream. It seemed it was time. He slowly stepped down off the ladder, hammer in his left hand. He walked through the beams, grabbing a large, long metal hybrid bar as he stepped out into the light. He started walking toward the screams and shouts, and as Aless screamed out Kyrie's name, the man in front of her would jerk to the side, the back end of the hammer burying in his skull as David threw it. He carried the bar, resting on his shoulder as he walked, eyes on the ground. He didn't need to see the body of the human being he had just killed. He had already seen his face and knew it would be added to the dreams he had later that night. The others turned to him, but he was ready. He wielded the bar like a sword, ducking low and hitting the first running man in the kneecap, snapping his leg like a twig. Then he hit the second in the chest, spinning as he did. David had practiced with his power since he was very little, so he had a great well of power but....he didn't use it. He hadn't used it in years, not even to fly. He brought the bar down on the second mans sword arm, snapping it too, before walking toward Aless. " You need to stay with me." He turned to the rest, raising his metal bar at them. " You boys should know better than to fuck with the Storm Dragon."

Aless stumbled, falling to a knee, and lower, her hands smacking against sand and grass. She cringed, crying out, but not one killing blow fell. She looked back, scrambling to her feet, only to feel a surge of relief to see who came to her rescue. That it wasn't Kyrie didn't matter– David was here. For her.
She pushed back to her feet, kicking out of her heels, and scooted immediately towards the taller man's side, trying to...not be in the way, but not be out of sight.
She was pale, shaky, but holding it together. Her stomach hurt, the camera no exactly something that was soft to fall into. But, she hardly noticed it.
Too much adrenaline and fear.

The men hesitated- why, David didn't care to ask. He sighed, then rested the bar on his shoulder again. They had shields and bows and spears....why were they waiting? He guessed they wanted to feel him out first. He would bring up his empty hand and wave them lazily forward, as though they didn't concern him in the slightest.
"Well, come on then."
Two men rushed forward. The first slashed from above and down, the other attacked from his left, swinging for his right. David brought up the bar and blocked the overhead then tilted his crowbar down and to the left, smashing it into the other swords path. He rammed the heel of his hand into the bridge of his nose. This forced him back as David struck from overhead at the one on his left, the guy shifting to the side and forcing David's bar to crash into his shoulder and shatter his collar bone. He screamed. That...was all? How boring.
David would hold the bar at his side, barely getting a workout in. He glanced back at Aless, then decided on a single use of his power. Just....this once
"Come. Collect your sister."
The whisper would fly on the wind and curl around Kiyr Barrials ear, wherever she happened to be.

Kyrie's first thoughts had been for her family, but with the crushing wave of invaders, it was quickly apparent she had to do some fighting, first. The doll-like blonde kicked her cumbersome heels from her feet, one right after the next. The first was lucky enough to smack into the face of an oncoming enemy, enough time for her to use the darkness to manifest a sword, and thus use less of her own energy, and with a quick move, disarmed and felled the first. As it did, the shadow manifestation of a weapon dissipated after use, leaving her to create another.
Kyrie was at a disadvantage for being so short. She couldn't properly see where her sisters were, where anyone really was. Surging forward, she pushed off the ground, one foot connecting to a Titan's upper leg to propel herself up..! Her shins collided against his shoulders, her knees squeezed tight...
The shriek chilled the blood in her veins to ice the moment it reached her ears. Her eyes shot wide open, and the small woman twisted her body in one brutal moment as time suddenly returned, snapping the neck of the warrior she precariously perched on. The twist had the added bonus of flinging the body into his former comrades even as the blonde dove into the shadows and disappeared with a curl of shadow into the air to mark her passage.
Sucked into position, turned "upside down" which wound up feeling like right side up just after, the night enabled the blonde to have a better range of view than anything during the day would. Still, it took time to be able to scan and see where her sister - and her pursuers - were. She moved at a sprint, appearing at a run about thirty feet away as David spoke, his words hitting her ears with all the force of a feather.
Maybe that was why it sent a knife through her.
She winced, but didn't stop; the blonde did, however, slow to a deliberate, quick walk for the last ten feet.
Kyrie felt her throat swell. Too much to say. Not certain she should say it.
"...thank you."

The youngest Barrial flinched at the violence, but didn't bolt from David's side. After all was said and done, she latched onto him in a hug and let out a breath, peeking out from around him. She had to let go. She had to let go. It was okay, she could let go.
It was when Kyrie emerged from the shadows that all her emotion caught up in her throat and she pressed her hand over her mouth to stop any sounds of crying from escaping. As her sister got close enough, she darted around David and practically glomped her older sister, who had come. A little late, but, David had been here! It was okay!
"A-Arianna?"
What about her? And their other family?

David half turned back just before Aless hit him, letting out a little grunt at the impact. He smiled and put an arm around her. Still the same old Alessandra. He would would gently rub her back before Aless left and leapt into Kyries arms. He turned his eyes toward Kiyr, someone he had actively avoided until now. His eyes sweapt up the deep purple of her dress- his favorite color, as she knew- across her collar and lips, to her eyes. Though he felt a tight pain in his chest, outwardly there was nothing that showed it. He would adjust his grip on the bar before turning toward her and walking to the body next to them. He pulled the hammer from his enemies head with a low sucking sound. The only death among the groaning bodies. He turned to look at Kiyr again, then at Aless. Then his eyes hardened and came back up to Kiyrs. " Think nothing of it. Some of us have long memories, and actually keep the promises we make." Without waiting for rebuttle he would turn and start off, heading back to his building and grabbing his black t-shirt, pulling it on over his skin before reaching behind the boards and grabbing his signature sword, " The Storms Blade", and strapping it to his back. Then he would take off in the direction of the city center.

"I do not know. I will go back for her, but...you need to get to safety."
She squeezed her younger, taller sister back, not flinching at the squelching, sucking sounds that emanated from the corpse as David pulled the hammer free. She wasn't watching that, but him, just as he had watched her. But her eyes widened as his gaze shot back, direct and cold.
She flinched at his words; she should have expected that barb. The blonde didn't even respond. She let him go, just as she loosened her arms around Aless.
"You have to get to safety—"

Didn't know?
Aless took a final, mostly-steadying breath. David's words cut through the air and she could feel the sudden coil of tension in her sister's body.
Apparently she had to get to safety.
She straightened as Kiyr let go, staring at her.
"Okay, no. Saving me doesn't give him the right to be a jerk over something from five years ago!" Would he have heard? Probably. Did she care? Not really. The entire world their island had become was under attack and such scathing remarks were being said amongst people she loved? That didn't fly with her!
She understood, in what ways she could, that David still missed his brother every day, but lording it over her sister's head that he saved her younger sister and Kyrie hadn't saved his younger brother was just...
Was just..!
Being a buttface over it!
She grabbed Kyrie and shoved her forward, moving with. She could go with them until she reached one of the safe zones, but, this wasn't something she would let slide, either. Arianna and Armand would take care of themselves, and Bennett, while this happened. Then Kyrie could go help them.
That's what she believed, despite the pounding in her heart.
So her sister would definitely get the hint, she nudged her again as they moved forward. And once more for good measure!

David turned back, having not walked away yet as Kiyr and Aless approached. H took a few steady breaths, his blood pounding in his ears. Before she could speak he would say something to hopefully undo those words.
"Sorry for saying that. It was unkind, after so long."
Alessandra had been right, that was definitely him being a buttface. It was hard to forget the woman who let your brother die, though.

It was all hard to forget.
The blonde's lips parted, hesitantly, before David interjected and saved her from saying words she didn't know to say in the first place. Her tongue flicked over her lips, wetting them, and she swallowed.
Time was short. She couldn't say that much. What would she say?
"...you are not the only one with a long memory, David; I have not forgotten... Given the circumstances, I understand why you said it. I forgive you."
It didn't mean it didn't hurt—just that she was resolved to not hold it against him. Five years was long enough without adding this to everything.
And that was probably all there was time for. Kyrie exhaled; this was the most they'd spoken in about four, four and a half years. And less was more, given the circumstances and present situation.

It was good enough, she guessed. At least that was out of the way. She might not have been totally pleased, but at least they'd apologized and forgiven for this little exchange.
"...who is going by a safe point?"
She'd go with that person, leaving the other free. Unless they both planned on going.
Whatever worked for them.

David would shake his head at Aless, ignoring Kiyr's words for now.
"I assume there is no such thing as a safe point right now. The safest place for either of you is by my side."
He walked over to them, confident but not cocky. He just...knew his limits. What he could and couldn't do. Protecting them was something he could do. Still, Alessandra probably didn't have the extensive training he had. Or kiyr had. He remembered how often they would scrap- to get stronger. He would pull out a long knife from the strap on his belt and hand it to Aless.
"Stay with us, and if someone grabs at you, stick the pointy end where you think it would hurt."
He would put a palm on her forehead and let out a slow breath. He pulled wind down over his hand and her body, curling it around her form. He tethered it to his power. She would have a physical shield over her body, protecting her from cutting damage. Blunt force would still hurt or bruise, however. Bones might break. She would need to be careful.
"We need to help secure the city. I know...I don't fight anymore. Not really. But I'm not gonna stand here while my friends die. Stick with me or don't, up to you."
And he would head out!
OOC: Allessandra gains the "Armor of the Sky".
Armor of the sky: The Armor of the Sky is a thin layer of air, super-imposed like a vacuum to the skin of the person it is used on. Its armor is a volatile protector against cutting abilities, and cannot be penetrated by blades so long as David remains conscious. This armor does not protect against blunt force damage from the hits.
David can't use his ability so long as Alessandra is protected.

She hadn't exactly expected a response, so that was enough for her. She turned, looking back, and around. Before David could stride towards the centre of the city, she spoke up.
"Arianna, Armand, and Bennett were at the wedding, too. I have to go back..."
But she didn't want to leave David and Alessandra to move forward on their own, either. Not that David wasn't able, but Aless herself had zip for experience in combat. Their odds were better with her than without.
Being in close proximity to David was...well, uncomfortable, as an understatement. This entire thing was just a reminder of what happened; if she let herself, she could probably see Damien's prone form, filled with arrows. But she could function, and would; the past had already happened. This time would be different.
