Evening Light [ David ]

He chuckled lightly.

"No, I wouldn't listen....because I wouldn't tell you about anything that's going on with the group. I couldn't risk anyone overhearing us. I know people on this island, and abilities attributed to different houses...theirs no way word of this won't get out and talking to you in non-secure locations is a risk I can't take."

He would stop and turn toward her.

"You know that I listen to your advice most of the time, though, if that answers your question."

"So to hear what's going on in order to give you advice you might take, and otherwise smack sense into you, I need to join."

Though she took a half-step more, the blonde pivoted on her heel to slowly face her friend, a slight grin on her face. Sounded to her like she'd been maneuvered into a corner. She was playing lightly into it; part of what David would need with his movement were individuals of reputable standing in the island, probably another reason he was looking to her. It would help even more if she was a Senator, but, she wasn't fond of the idea: it would take her away from the hospital.

"I think I need just a little while to think, is that fair?"

All in all, she was aware of everything; it was just a matter of weighing it seriously and figuring out if it felt right to her.

David nodded, and smiled.

"Not just that. I want friends with me. But I know what this will mean, as do you. So I wouldn't begrudge you if you said no- I plan to as Kyrie too, eventually. Just...need to help her understand that I'm...sorry for treating her the way I have."

He would keep walking, taking her shoulder lightly to turn her and continue on their path forward.

"I understand. The door will always be open, so take as long as you need."

Arianna smiled, turning to finish their walk with a pat of her hand on top of his.

"Mhm~ Of course."

For now, she would simply enjoy their walk to her place, and the company of her close friend.
