((Alright, I hope to stay active with this!))
Angharad would be lying if she said she wasn't hungry. She was a soldier with a lot of energy, but that only made her all the hungrier after her extensive physical activities. Both her continuing training as a demigod and her duties as a captain called for sustenance to provide her with more energy. She would be content to eat whatever was nearby, but the only food to be found at the moment was the food at the food court, and so she went to the food court.
Even if Angharad wasn't picky with her food, she could afford to decide what she wanted to eat depending on what she was craving given that the food court, as there were many eateries to choose from. Angharad decided to go with a big slice of peperoni pizza. She liked pizza and was craving it, and she deserved it. After all, she did more than stay fit. And so she had ordered two slices of pizza, sacrificed one at the brazier to her mother, and then, with her slice on a plate and her soda in one hand, she made her way to the nearest vacant table and sat down on the chair, laying her food and drink on the surface of the table before holding her pizza on her hands and taking a bite. She continued to look stoic, but inside she was savoring the taste.

The morning hadn't been too friendly to Deacon. He had missed breakfast because of some Minotaur war game and then he actually had to work for a while. Now he was basically doubled over from starvation and scooping up nearly everything he could reach. After a plate of spaghetti was throw together for him, completely with garlic bread, he sacrificed a bit and whispered a little prayer to Athena, although he didn't know what there was to really thank her for.
When he looked around the large room, there were very few empty seats available. One of them, conveniently enough, was across from Captain Gwyn, whom he had met at the beach not too long ago. He grinned and took the seat, "Man that pizza looks good. Maybe I should have gotten that." He said politely, taking in a deep breathe before starting his meal.

Ang had really not been expecting company; well, she never did when she was just there to eat before launching back on her two feet and conquering the day again, but she would hardly be surprised if someone else found the need to sit at her table considering that all the others would most likely be taken. She had been lucky enough to find a table that was perfectly empty.
And so someone else joined her and the soldierly thing to do was to allow them to eat at the table; as much as she valued decorum, she also had a soldier's instincts to do whatever was necessary and simple to get one with the job, and that included sharing the same table with a fellow Concordian. She glanced up from her plate to acknowledge the person; she would just nod brusquely and then eat in silence until she was done. Or, if the person felt the need to talk to her then she would respond but then be on her way when her business was done.
However, when she saw who it was who had sat down across from her, her heart skipped a beat and she couldn't help but look surprised. Pleasantly surprised. It was Captain Jacoby, the wise and agreeable, and intriguing, son of Athena she had met on the beach. Anyone who knew Angharad Gwyn would be laughing at the notion of her having such thoughts for a young man, but, well, it couldn't be helped. She was still stoic enough not to have those emotions out in the open--hell, she didn't fully realize them either, but it went without saying that his presence lightened up her mood somewhat. "Oh, Captain Jacoby," she said, blinking, before summoning up a very faint smile. "It's good to see you again." She eyed his spaghetti, thinking that spaghetti was equally as good as pizza. The Italians had such delicious cuisine.
"That spaghetti looks appetizing," she commented when he quipped that he should've gotten the pizza instead. But, that aside, she decided to ask after him. She took another bite out of her pizza, chewed and swallowed, and then asked, "So how are you doing, Captain? And...how's the Brigade doing?" Last time she heard about the Minotaur Brigade, she hadn't liked it, but she still decided it was polite to ask. She was surprisingly courteous enough to refrain from making a callous remark as to whether or not they finally braved up yet, too.

Deacon narrowed his eyes at her and grinned, "Oh I'm certain that it is." He took a bite of the garlic bread and nodded. After swallowing, he looked up at her and shrugged, "I got some new recruits that other day who could use some work but the rest of the Brigade is stepping up to help so it's actually going well." He returned the courtesy, asking how are brigade was going, "You getting to know your people at all?" He cocked an eye brow like a teacher expecting a full report over a book she probably didn't read.

Angharad decided that what she was hearing about the Minotaur Brigade was more favorable than the last report. She nodded. "That's good. Hopefully those new recruits will be accustomed to their duties soon enough." She was about to take another bite out of her pizza, but paused when she heard what he said next. The look on his face was such that Ang was tempted to throw her pizza at him--but, to her surprise, it was a playful thought, not one of aggression, but one that she quickly shook out of her mind because it was so absurd.
"Well...yes. Aside from testing their nature, I do converse with them to understand their nuances. It is actually an effective method." Owain had implored her to do the same thing. Truth be told Ang had confided in Owain of what she Deacon had told her and Owain thought that was a good idea, albeit her brother was surprised and bemused that someone had gotten her to actually consider being social. She was convinced that she was only doing this for the objective sake of understanding the personalities of her soldiers, but maybe she did enjoy idly talking to them after all.

Deacon grinned, placing his fork back on the plate to take a drink of whatever was in his cup, "Glad to hear it. I'm sure they all love you." He couldn't see why they wouldn't. Angharad may be a little straight-laced, but the strict nature of her personality was refreshing and wonderful to him. He couldn't understand why she didn't share that awesome nature with more people, but then Taze had mentioned thinking he needed to remove the stick up her ass. Deacon had proceeded to punch him in the throat, of course, because no one should talk that way about a lady, "How have you been outside of work?"

This time Angharad couldn't suppress the smile on her face when he suggested that they all loved her. It was a faint smile, but a smile nonetheless. Love her? Far from it. She understood that most of them thought she was boring, and sometimes too strict for their liking. She thrived on that impression, though. But then again, now that she had started to get to know some of them on a regular level, she and them got along decently well. "They've given the impression of liking me enough," she said.
She shrugged. "I've been alright." She was always alright because she didn't concern herself with things other than matters in the Garrison. That might change, soon. Suddenly, she remembered Taze Fowler mentioning that he and Deacon were friends. Ang obviously thought that Deacon was the better of the two, but she decided to serve her curiosity of Deacon's connection with Taze in a polite manner. It did not do to go insulting a person's friends, especially when you wanted to be on good terms with said person. "Do you happen to be friends with the son of Hephaestus, Taze Fowler, Captain? I've come across him some days ago and he's mentioned his friendship with you."

Deacon laughed, Taze had mentioned that encounter. The son of Athena had the feeling it didn't go over so well, "Yeah, He was good friends with Braxton all through Camp so we kind of didn't have a choice." Deacon explained, taking another bite of spaghetti, "You know Brax, right? He mentioned you being his little sister."

She was busying herself with taking a bite out of her pizza and chewed, listening to him. She was looking down idly at her plate, but then her head shot up at the mention of Braxton. "Braxton...Braxton Wyatt. Of course. He's my Greek brother," she responded. She mostly addressed by by his surname, so sound of his first name on her tongue sounded unfamiliar. "You're good friends with him? You seem to imply that you get are closer to him than you are with Fowler."

Deacon nodded, "Yeah, Taze is a good guy, but he is a little too wild for me. Braxton can be more serious at times and I've known him longer." For some reason, Deacon didn't mind being completely open with this girl about who he was and who he knew, "Besides, Braxton is more like me. He doesn't chase women for sport." Deacon smiled, taking another bite of spaghetti to distract himself from the fact that he mention chasing women at all.

Ang smiled, quite happy that Deacon shared the same view as she did about Fowler. "I must agree. He was too loose for my liking," she remarked. "I'm of the opinion that my brother behaves respectably." Altogether, Ang forgot all of her old, extreme bias for the Greeks. She blinked when Deacon remarked that he and Brax didn't chase women for sport. So, they weren't lecherous, but that implied that Fowler was a lecher. She wasn't surprised. "That's most commendable of you and the Colonel."
She finished up her pizza. Alright, it was time to go back to the Garrison. She was a little rueful, as she had enjoyed talking to him. But duties were first, of course. And it wasn't like she wouldn't see him again. She would make sure she would. Without thinking twice, she automatically blurted out, "Would you like to come over to my flat? I would be glad to have you visit Captain." She blinked. WOAH. What did she just...say???

Deacon was about as shocked and Angharad was. Not that he didn't really want to go, but sh didn't seem like she liked him at all. Suddenly, he was flustered and stood up as she did, "Uh, yeah. When?" The words came out more quickly than he meant for them to and he found himself replaying the conversation up till this moment to try and understand where at had come from.

Ang was on here feet, her face flustered despite all she tried to do look solemn, as she usually did. Oh, good Bellona, what had she just said?! That was totally not her. It was...it was weakness to let down her guard like this! She was never in the least bit intimate with anyone who was not her siblings, and even she wasn't all cuddly with them. So why...? However, she had already said it and she felt honored to not leave him hanging there. She would go through with it to the end. Part of her was also doing this, too, even if her logic said otherwise. "Tonight, seven o'clock," she said simply. She managed to bring her hand up to her brow in a salute, the last bit of her stony dignity she could muster. "Good day, Captain. It was nice talking to you, but I shall take my leave now and go back to my duties." She then turned around and strode away...a little faster than she had intended, but she couldn't help herself. She was so embarrassed and confused.
