She smiled at him, but she had a feeling that that he was nervous. In fact, she could almost feel the tension coming off of him. Tere took a step back, leaning against the opposite counter, pressing the palms of her hands against the marble. "Close your eyes..." She'd wait for him to do that and then she'd continue "Now, pretend I'm not here, because if you were any more wound up you'd be a Timex and that won't help you." She said with a soft laugh and then went on more. "You say you have passion for your music... concentrate on that... make me feel that passion for music like you do, play a beat on the counter. Focus on wanting me to feel the music like you do and only that." She said in a soft, almost nursing tone.

He shifted on the spot, but did as she said. He closed his eyes. He tried to pretend he was alone. Maybe just hanging out in the penthouse waiting for his dad to get home. Something relaxing. He laughed a little too at her words, realizing just how tense he really was. He reached for the counter, biting his lip and taking a step forward.
Hooked On A Feeling.
The song burst into his mind and he, albeit slowly at first, started tapping the counter in time with the song in his head. He bobbed his head a little too. Then he let out a laugh. Little did he know, the pherokenisis was starting to seep out of him...

Tere was silent after he made a move for the counter, the song was at first hard to place but once he got started, she could pick it up. The whole time, she was watching his hands more than she was the rest of him, watching the each tap. She actually began to tap one finger against the bottom edge of the counter in time with him, a soft smile on her face the entire time.
She could begin to feel the effects of his power, it was light, like a caress to her at the moment. That was probably why she was beginning to enjoy the beat that he was playing on her kitchen counter by tapping her own fingers against the bottom quietly. A small part of her was almost tempted to sing along, but it was a song that she didn't know a lot of the words to.

After a moment, Link opened his eyes and pulled his hand away from the counter. He took a step back, "I... I think I actually recognized it happening that time. Maybe because the counter isn't as loud as the drums," he noted. He had felt a pull in his gut, a happy one, but that still frightened him. He didn't understand how it all worked, but he could start figuring it out... just maybe.

She stopped the moment he did, watching him, he looked so scared of things. She had to wonder if he was frightened of his own shadow for a moment. Still, Tere gave him a sweet smile and moved away from the counter. "Reconizing it is a good step, but I can still see your unwilling to give into it and just let it be a part of who you are. But then, you are still a child, at least compared to me." She said with a smile and walked around to stand next to him.
"Don't fear it... One thing you need to do is imagine it the way you want it to be. When you are alone, close your eyes, imagine it how you would like it to work. Do that once a day and that may help you come to true terms with your power." She didn't know if it would work for him, but he was just so lost... She had to give him something.

She was right, of course, saying that he wasn't letting himself give in to it and he was afraid... he continued to listen as she explained that he could work on it when he was by himself. Once a day like a sort of... medicine of some kind. "Okay... I'll give it a try. Is that what you did? Did you just go sit on your ship once a day and practice controlling the waves?" he asked. It would be nice to know that someone else had actually tried this idea of hers. Though, the concept did make sense. One usually got better at things with practice.

Tere gave a soft laugh and then should her head lightly. "No, I actually can't control the water, I control the weather. When I sing, I can cause storms, gale winds... stuff like that, but usually only when I sing. But I did practice when I was younger." She moved to lean against the counter, pulling a strawberry from a bowl of fruit that was sitting near by and then continued on "I was a child when I was taken to camp half blood. They taught me about who I was and my powers then. So in that regard I'm not totally sure if anything I am saying will help you 100%. It's all best guess for me. But I do hope I have and can help you, you don't need to fear your power."

"Oooh," Link muttered as she explained that she control the weather, rather than the water. "How old were you?' he asked, leaning against the counter as well toward her. "May I?" he asked, gesturing to the strawberries.
He couldn't imagine being a child and finding out what he did only a little while ago. He was almost an adult before he found out... and why hadn't the monsters chased him? The only danger he had was from fans who tried to break into his hotels, trailers and backstage in order to get their hands on him. The monsters didn't even recognize him at all, which he was told is pretty uncommon. Well, at least he was here now... right?

"Six" She said softly and then nodded to his request, pushing the bowl so that it was between them and they could share the fruit that was there. "But unlike some, I had basically been told since birth who my father was. I just didn't believe it was real until after my mother passed away and I was brought to camp half blood. My mother's will is what had me sent there, apparently she didn't know any other demi's to take me and thought that would be the safest place. That was also the first time I ever left Greece." She said with a said look on her face for a moment.
"Once I learned of my sisters though... half though they may be... things got better. They and the teachers at the camp taught me the things I needed to know. How to harness my power, control it... how to fight. I was actually a pretty awesome fighter before I got The Siren's Song." She said and smiled a little. She was still a kick ass fighter, but fighting when the floor beneath you is swaying this way and that is different from fighting on flat unmoving land.

He took a strawberry as she nodded, listening intently to the origin story she told afterward. "You grew up in Greece?" he asked, quite surprised at this part of the story. She was the real deal then, wasn't she? Link didn't feel Greek in any way... well, technically he was a Roman. But still, she had a real connection to the homeland of their parents while he did not. He didn't feel connected to this world at all... and a strong part of him didn't even want to be a part of it.
"That's great that you got along well with your half-sisters. I haven't met my siblings yet, not really, but I'm sure that softened the blow a bit." he could imagine it would be hard learning all of that about yourself and being completely on your own... kind of how he felt, but at least he wasn't six years old right now.

She smiled at his question, Prágmati ékana She said in perfect Greek, nodding to him, but since she could safely assume he didn't know Greek she added "That means 'indeed, I did." She then plucked a grape from the bowl and nodded again. "It was easier at times, but since they were a bit older, they saw me as the annoying 'kid sister' more often than not. It gets easier though, when you have people to help you learn." She added as she reached over to give him a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Just give it time."

Greek, fancy. Especially since she was born there. "Well," he said, hanging his head a little as she patted him on the shoulder. He looked up, giving her a grateful smile. "It's nice to know my struggles aren't only something that I've experienced. I mean, I've met a lot of people here with strange abilities and it really makes things... you know," he chuckled at the fact that he couldn't think of a word.

"Freaky? She asked, smirking a little. Yes, she was practically raised in this world, and then there was the fact that even before her mother's death she had been told that she was the daughter of a god. This she had to expect made her experiences far easier than someone like the boy before her who seemed scared by this own shadow as well as his powers. "Trust me, there will come a day when you not only understand your powers, but enjoy using them. It may not be today or tomorrow, but it will come, as likely as day turning to night.

"Yes, that!" he snapped his fingers as Tere found the word he was looking for. She was smirking, however, which proved that she didn't think he was being offensive in any way. That was the last thing that he wanted, to offend anyone. Especially someone who had just helped him out so much.
"Enjoy them..." he shook his head a little. He couldn't imagine that day... but he knew that she was right. He looked back up at her, "I look forward to it. Tell me, do you always lounge around in those clothes?" he asked, making a sudden subject change.

A small and slightly sinful smile danced onto her face at his newest question and the random subject change. Obviously he was still uneasy about talking about his power. And if she thought about it, she couldn't blame him. He was just a babe and still coming into his own. Innocent and pure. Finally though, she answered him. "Truthfully, you're lucky you caught me in this. Usually I wear a whole lot less when I am out by the pool." She said in a calm tone. It was clear that she was used to things like that.
"That's where I was when you came knocking. Would you like to join me?" She asked, picking up the fruit bowl that was still between them and giving a nod towards the door that was open to the patio where the pool was. Just about every room opened up to the outside, just about every room had a view to die for. Though, the pool, that had the best view, overlooking the small cove that she dubbed 'Turquoise Cove'. It also had a view of the garrison and the climbing wall.
