Ember Lynn was staring in the bathroom mirror. I'm married. Holy shit, I'm married. Her brown eyes looked brighter than usual in her reflection and she could tell that she was breathing heavily. Finaly deciding the join the party, she pushed out the door and found herself standing on her own front porch. A tent had been set up right in front of her and Dylan's home and it glowed like Ember always thought Mount Olympus would glow. There was music and the clacking of silverware on plates, "Holy shit..." She mutter out loud playing with the satiny material of her white dress, "I can do this."
Finally, she decided to enter the tent.

"Get that music just a little bit louder, please! We're about ready to announce-" Masin gave orders as she started to slip out of the main room of the reception tent, back toward the house where Emmy was getting herself ready. Em stood on the porch, and Masin smiled. She looked gorgeous, albeit a little nervous. Before Em could step in the tent, Masin reached out, lightly touching her arm. "Hey. Just take it one minute at a time," she encouraged before stepping aside, opening the tent for Ember to step through.
A voice rang out "now introducing for the first time ever, Ember Lynn Bridges!" Masin stepped through behind Em, clapping along with the rest of the crowd. It was strange, seeing her like that. All wearing white and standing before the crowds. Em had been before crowds before, but never like this. Masins heart skipped a beat as she took a step up beside Em, her eyes scanning the room, assessing the reactions of the crowd. The Chancellor was married.

Teresia stood just off to the side, beside Masin, her teal eyes shifting to the woman for a moment before they turned back on her sister, the woman was almost literally glowing. Tere smiled a bit, happy for her sister, but there was a part of her on the inside that dreaded weddings. Always being around happy couples... it had a tendency to make her stomach churn with that strange mix of sickness and jealousy. Today though, thankfully, the latter part of that wasn't so strong. She knew, somewhere in that tent was a man looking to dance with her... at least once. That was the thought she dwelled on and it made her a bit on the spacy side.
Once she heard the voice announce her sister with the new name. She smiled, coming out of her thoughts and clapped along with everyone else. Happy that she had been invited.

Dylan had been waiting just inside the tent for Ember Lynn to reappear. Ever since the ceremony had ended, he hadn't stopped smiling. I can't believe it. She actually married me. We're going to be a family. When she finally emerged, he made his way back to her side. "Breathe, love." He whispered into her ear, wrapping an arm protectively around her before turning to look at the crowd that had amassed outside of their home.

Ember Lynn looked at Dylan with a face completely full of love, "How can I when you're holding me so tightly?" She teased, pulling her body as close as the bouncy dress would allow. There was an alarming number of people in the tent and Ember wondered if they shouldn't have just done it completely outside in the first place.

"Well, first off, we could try sending a few of the guests outside." He grinned, gesturing towards the immense amount of people in the tent. "We might have needed a bit more space, Em." Alright, that was an understatement. Dylan hadn't expected this many people to actually show up to a wedding on such short notice. It was almost intimidating.

As soon as the announcement was over, Ashton made his way towards Tere through the sea of guests. "Hey." He greeted, walking up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist. "Are you alright? You look a little distracted." Pulling her away from the chaos so that they could talk, Ashton began to wonder when they would turn the music back on so everyone could dance. Maybe that would lighten up the mood.

It was the wedding of the Chancellor, Ember Lynn, a woman who had helped him look after Concordia with a steady hand. He respected her to no ends, and she was like a co-leader of sorts. Of course he would attend her party, both as a sign of respect and courtesy. Sure, there was controversy surrounding her, but he still never doubted Ember's ability and the wedding was a time of joy for her, not a time to think about what was being evilly said about her in the media. He was dressed in an elegant suit, and his date was the one and only Espn. She looked gorgeous, of course, and he didn't say this aloud, but he thought that she out-shined the bride.
The ceremony was done, and Owain wanted to follow Ember and Dylan into the tent to offer his congratulations again, now that they were officially wedded. But he decided that they might want some privacy, and instead lingered outside with Espn. He glanced at her and smiled. "That was a touching ceremony, wasn't it? I very much wish Ember and Dylan happiness in their marriage."

Tere gave a smile as she leaned back against Ashton, her arms resting against his as he held her from behind. She closed her eyes for a moment and then tilted her head to look at him, smiling a bit more. "Usually when I am around happy couples I want to strangle them in their sleep. I am happy for my sister and Dylan though, and I am glad that you came with me. Saves me from feeling that stomach churning sickness I get when I see sweet things." She said with a smirk and leaned up to kiss his jaw lightly. "Can't be sick of something if you get to enjoy it as well." She added with a soft laugh.

"Am I to take it that you aren't one of those girls who already has their wedding planned?" Ashton inquired, pulling her close while watching the happy couple be surrounded by adoring party goers. He had to admit that it seemed a little much. "Besides, what else would I be doing on a night like this? I'd much rather spend it here with you. Especially in that dress." Kissing the top of her head, Ashton started to sway lightly with the music that had finally started playing again.

She laughed softly as she shook her head. "No. I've only been close to marriage once... and then..." She sighed and shook her head. It was a thought she didn't like to dwell on. "After that I tried to stay single, I fell in love again but I knew it would never lead to marriage... it wasn't his shtick. I did think we'd be together for ever, but that changed when he left me for the second time." She said and then closed her eyes, following his sway for a bit. "I'm glad that you chose me over whatever else you could be doing, and this dress... I'm shocked my sister went for red." She said with a laugh and then turned in his arms, bringing her arms up so that she could drape them over his shoulder. "So which dress do you like more? This one or the White one I wore to Hades?" She teased playfully.

Ashton contemplated his response for just a moment. This sounded like a trap, but if he answered correctly ... well, he may survive. "The white one suited you better." He said after the long pause. " I have to admit though, your sister does have pretty decent taste." Spinning her around, he looked towards the opening of the tent and then back towards Tere. "What do you say about taking a breather? I'm sure we can hear the music just as well from outside."
((ooc: why don't we start our own thread on this board so we don't hijack this one? xD))

Tere watched him, a bit of amusement dancing in her eyes. It wasn't a trick, she was just curious as to see what he liked to see her in more, this frilly girliness or the tempting seductress look. Either way she would have been happy. And when he answered she gave a light laugh and nodded "That she does, that she does. Plus I already had the shoes." She said and then glanced towards the opening as well. "That sounds great to me... way too many people in this tent for my taste." She said as she leaned up to give him a light kiss on the lips. ((Good idea... You get to start this one ))

She bit her lip and leaned forward so her forehead rested against his, "You are literally the best person I have ever met in my life." Emmy whispered, planting a kiss on his lips before pulling away to survey the room. She knew people would come, but she didn't expect all these people to stay, especially with the short notice of everything. She pulled out of Dylan's arms and slid into a chair that overlooked the entire tent, "I don't feel so good..." She complained, resting a hand on her rolling stomach.

It may be conceived as completely ridiculous, but Espn was still dabbing a cute, lacy handkerchief at her light tears of joy and appreciation. She loved a good wedding. It was like all the best parts of her mother's ceremonies shoved into one amazing day. And here she was, sitting with the most handsome man on the island. It would be completely impossible for her to deny that, as a result of watching a beautiful beach wedding ceremony, that she wouldn't think of her own wedding, way in the future. Before, when she had gone to weddings pre-Concordia, she had never had a face to pair with the little day dreams, but now Owain's face clearly floated in her mind making her tears well up again. She was glad that she had thought to wear the magical waterproof makeup her mother had given all the kids back at camp. It never smears, smudges, leaks, or fades until you apply the special remover that came with it.
She reached across and took Owain's hand in her own, locking her fingers tightly between his so, even if he wanted to, he couldn't really let go, "Thank you for bringing me, Commander." She sighed, leaning her head on his shoulder lightly.@owain
