At The Wedding Tent: Battle Thread

Tere struggled against the vines and then she heard that thud, and the slight wah wah wah of an arrow shaking back and forth before she felt and saw the body land on top of her for a moment. Her struggling though caused it to roll off and then there he was. She smiled brightly up at Ashton and noticed the bow in his hand. "I'm not fond of those right now..." She had been hit with three arrows so far, but now she got to her feet and grabbed him, kissing him quickly but deeply. When she pushed away from him again, she nodded to an area that would likely be a good spot for an archer. "I'll tempt them out. Protect my ass for me?" She 'asked' with a wink as she nodded to the spot.

Dante nodded to Masin, glad she and the Chancellor were alright, still the battle was raging on and he realized if it was this bad here the rest of the island would be in rough shape, they were doing well enough here and so he ran towards the apartments realizing there would be a several people there who had not attended the wedding, his injuries were weakening him but he knew he had to get there.

Jason flipped up to his feet, sword in hand. He turned back toward the chancellor and her husband, fist gripping his sword like a vice. He was glad they were running. He and Accalia would mop up here, and there were other places that needed help.  He would turn to Accalia and shout.

"Come with me!"

He'd kick the first soldier in the chest, then the second would swing at him. He dove left and would regrasp his shield, expecting Accalia on his left now as they turned to the fifteen or twenty soldiers awaiting to charge them. He spoke quickly and quietly to Accalia's right ear.

"You hit them with roots from the front. I'll pull waves in from behind. We'll mop up the soldiers left. Ready?"

Ashton nodded seriously, reaching for another arrow and training it on the spot she had indicated. "Ready when you are." He yelled over the racket, waiting for some sign of movement. Later, he would worry about Tere and her injuries. Right now he had to find a way to help clear this beach before more people were killed. He could hear the Garrison in the distance, but they were too far away and most of the party goers were still unarmed.

Tere heard his words over the racket she and her girls had created, she rejoined the girls song, calling the attention of two of the enemies. She then began to back away, kicking off her heels as the men followed her. Had she not been injured, two on one wouldn't be a bad thing, but as it was, one arm was nearly numb now. Both men attacked as she was able to kick one away, hoping that Ashton would get that one for her as she fought the other one.

Seeing the soldiers give chase towards Tere, Ashton took off in hot pursuit. Grabbing the one she had managed to shake off, he took one of the arrows from the quiver and stabbed it through the base of the attacker's neck before turning to face the other one. With careful aim, he shot the bolt into the man's side. Once again going to Tere's side, he pulled her up before speaking into her ear. "I think it's time to go. The Garrison's on it's way and you can't take much more." His voice was pleading, but the calls were getting too close.

As Jason ran ahead, Accalia was close behind, fighting people nearest to her. She stayed with ranged attacks, for the most part, but bows can still be used in close combat and she was well practiced. She gave the plant manipulation a rest, she could only do so much at a time before wearing herself out, like all demi-gods. She followed Jason as she called for her and jumped next to him, leaning toward him and listening intently to his plan while shooting arrows at oncomers.


She nodded at the plan, "Ready," she summoned tree roots to rip from the ground, and flatten against the front of the group while Jason did his thing. Well, so much for him keeping his powers a secret. There were still plenty more coming, considering they were right near the boast they had burst in on.

Accalia didn't bother to make sure their little planned work as another group came up on her right, she swung her bow around, taking out two of them before tossing her bow over her shoulder. "We've got to get these people out of here, most of them don't even have wea-" she started to say before suddenly a shield bashed into her face.

Tere looked to Ashton and then glanced down at herself, her dress was shredded, covered in blood - both hers and the enemy's - and she knew he was right. Tere had bullet wounds that had yet to stop bleeding, her one arm was numb from being shot with an arrow. Her legs were shaky now that she thought about it. Her hands, legs, side were all streaked with blood.

It was only then that she realized just how much blood she had lost in the heat of the battle, her racing heart had pumped out too much through her wounds. "I'll be o..." with that she passed out into Ashton's arms, her body limp like a rag doll.

Enemy for @accalia, ALICE, Daughter of Asteria

As Alice's shield smashed into the archers face, she ducked in order to block any oncoming blows from the boy beside her. She used her God Given ability to suddenly make the archer, Accalia, go blind. That was when she struck, aiming sharply for Accalias knees.

Accalia stumbled back as she was smashed int he face with a shield. She felt the blood coming out of her nose, which was most likely broken. Before she could turn to her attacker, however, everything suddenly went pitch black.

She knew the lights hadn't gone out, that had already happened a few moments ago, but now Accalia couldn't see anything. Before she knew it she was stumbling backward, controlling the tree roots around her to keep her from falling. She managed to block the sword swinging toward her knees, albeit by accident, with a thick branch in front of her. All of this plant manipulation was starting to take it's toll, but she could go a little further yet. She had trained to fight like this.

But she hadn't trained to fight blind. "JASON!" she called out, knowing that her attacker was most likely gaining on her.

As he heard her cry, Jason would case a hand in her direction. A wall of water blasted up in front of the girl attacking Accalia, spikes protruding out. It would fly rapidly in the girls (Alice) direction, aiming to impale her on them and take her off into the sea. He dropped the arm after, forced to use his sword to defend against the man in front of him. He would not be able to use his ability for a bit- he used a little too much to wash away several men in the back.

"Hurry Accalia! To your feet!"

He'd kick the chest of the man he was fighting and rush over to help her up!

Ashton wrapped his arm around tere's waist, half carrying and half dragging her away from the battle. She had passed out cold, almost before he could catch her. Looking around in the chaos, he almost wasn't sure where to take her. The ports had likely been overrun already, meaning the Song was out of question. The Poseidon house was too big to not receive unwanted visitors, which left him with only one option. Making his way towards the wooded area, Ashton scrambled through the underbrush until he found the location of his cart, right where he had left it on the beach.

Suddenly Accalia could see again, which meant Jason must have killed her opponent. She felt herself starting to hyperventilate as she registered the bodies around her feet added she had been momentarily blind. She didn't stand as Jason called out to her, she didn't even use the plants to help her up. She looked down at her leg from before, the knife wounds bandage had come undone and the blood was soaking her clothes. She looked up just in time to see Jason reaching for her. She let him help her up and leaned into him as she stood. "She-she made me  b-blind. How did she do that?" Accalia shook her head and shivered for a moment, but she didn't have time to freak out, the remaining enemies were moving inland. "Come on, come on we've got to keep going," she said, pushing off of him and pulling her bow back out and taking at a run out of the tent.
