Jason's clothes were changed and he had showered, the battle only hours old and ended. In his hands were still his sword and shield- he didn't know if another attack would come along and he sure as hell wasn't going to miss it. With Accalia in the Hostpital, he felt confident coming here. His back was patched, as was his leg and though the doctors refused him trying to leave he walked out regardless when their backs were turned. He wasn't going to be holed up all day because of a cut under his eye and a few on his body. He was a man on a mission and he figured it was time to make it official.
He would find the Colonels door and knock steadily, waiting for permission to enter.

Fin hadn't slept since the battle. He had been staying up checking on people in the infirmary, talking to the troops, trying to sleep and failing... well, here he was in his office, sitting down for the first time in who knows how long, when a knock came on his door.
"Come in," he said, sitting up straight and waiting for his guest to open the door. When he looked up, he saw Jason Calloway, a guy who had been on the Island for several weeks and had so far gone on a quest, and fought in the battle. Fin leaned back, raising an eyebrow at him. "Jason, welcome. Have a seat."

Jason would nod and come in, clearing his throat and shaking his head. "Sitting hurts, or I would. thank you though."
He didn't know how things were run on the island- if they were similar to army, marines etc, but he figured he should try and show as much respect as possible.
"I want to put my name in the hat for Captain, and join you guys in the military. I believe my knowledge of battle tactics and mechanics will come in handy and I have proven myself in battle. If you'll have me, of course."

Finley nodded, understanding completely. The battle was hard on everyone, Finley managed to get out of it with minimal damage, and the damage he did have he only let the healers look at for a short moment. He wanted to make sure others were taken care of first and foremost, that was his rule.
Jason gave his business and Fin leaned forward, smiling a bit. "We'd be glad to accept you into the Garrison, Calloway. However, I think it best if you start at a different rank and work your way up," Fin explained, standing, "A Tribune Sergeant would suffice, I'd say. Then, when we feel your ready, you could move up to Captain and maybe even First Captain, if you're interested. How does that sound?" Tribune Sergeant was a good position to start Jason off in, Fin felt, because it proved that he had earned a title in battle but it wasn't giving him immediate high rank.
(I discussed Fins response with staff, btw)

Jason would nod. He took a deep breath- it wasn't what he wanted, but he knew that true station was earned. Anything set in your lap meant nothing, and all the enemies he had killed had at least granted him the rights to a rank above private.
"What do I call you, then?"
He would walk forward and hold out his hand, prepared to shake his leaders in promise- Captain and First Captain would indeed be his. Jason had never half assed a thing in his life. He would put the same effort into this in which he did all things, and this would give him a better launching ground to protect those he cared about.
Like Accalia.
And Tere.
And Em.
And...everyone.

Fin smiled, standing to offer a hand to Jason over the table. "You call me Colonel Rockefeller, or just Colonel. Welcome to the Phoenix Brigade, Sergeant Calloway," his tone was serious, almost cold sounding in a way, but his smile was warm and proud. He was always happy to find good fighters who wanted to join the Garrison.

He smiled in return, firmly clasping the mans hand and giving a shake. He would let out a deep breath. Sergeant. Sergeant. A rank that put him above private, but not at the level he was pushing for. Still, it was a start. A door that was opened for him that he would step through quickly. He wanted that rank- First Captain Calloway. He would put his hands behind his back, asking the most basic of questions for someone of rank.
"Well...are there duties I should be performing, or someone I should report to for these duties?"
He was eager to get started.

Finley took a seat once again before answering Jasons question. "Well, you will report to the Captain Gwyn for the most part. She should be able to get you started. Overall, however, your duties for the time being will be focused on getting yourself and your team into shape. Lots of training, lots of strength building... got it, Sergeant?" he said with a firm nod.
