Nathan couldn't take it anymore. The confrontation with Tylar had made it more than clear that he needed to let Jessia know the truth. A few long days of torturing himself over what to write and a couple hundred pieces of paper later, he had finally settled on the words he had to say. No more, no less.
Jessia,
Tylar is with me. I'm sorry. I love you.
Nathan
If she chose to leave him now, Nathan wouldn't be able to do a thing to stop her. It was a hard thought to handle, but Tylar was right. He was a coward, and Jess deserved better. Maybe, just maybe, she would at least forgive him a little if she knew that Tylar wasn't alone on the island. She would possibly understand why he left now, more than ever, but he couldn't know for sure until he actually sent it.

Dianna walked into the post office, humming softly to herself, tapping a letter she had planned to send off to her family in France. She loved telling her mother things about her day - omitting the dangerous stuff - and this day wasn't any different. Today she had spoke of her wish to build a home here, not just any home, a hope that was also a vineyard and most importantly, would be a safe haven from any further attacks that might come at them from Bast.
She tapped the edge of the letter against her other hand, humming still as she limped a bit towards the box. That arrow had left its mark, but at least it had missed anything vital. She had taken care of it herself because she knew the medical team was needed far more by others than by her. It had hurt like Tartarus though. She glanced at the male as she passed him and gave a polite smile to him.

"Morning miss." Nathan greeted with a small smile, walking over to the box for outgoing mail and finally letting the letter flow from his hands. He doubted that this would end his marriage, but even if it did he would remain faithful to his wife until the time he was able to return to her. The thought was distracting him from almost anything else, but he hadn't quite managed to let the sight of the woman's limp go unnoticed. He was first and foremost a physician, after all. Then again, everyone on the island was injured. It wouldn't hurt to ask her about it though.
"Excuse me, have you had that looked at?" He inquired, nodding towards the injured area. Most likely it was something he could clear up quickly, but he wouldn't just walk up and do it without permission. It's not like he could instantly heal her, after all.

"Morning Sir..." She said politely and continued on to the box so that she could send it. Before she did, she kissed the seal and then held it to her heart. She knew her mother wouldn't see that part, but she'd see the kiss, it was her thing though. Once it was dropped she turned to head back out but then stopped at the male's question.
Glancing down at her leg, her jeans hiding the bandage that was wrapped around her calf. "No, actually, I haven't... I sort of just took care of it myself. There are far more in need of healing than myself." She said with a soft smile, it wasn't bad... It hurt, but she expected it would hurt for a while.

Nathan's brow furrowed as he approached the woman. "You ought to let me take a look at it. Yes, people needed the healing more a few days ago, but an infection wouldn't be anything to mess with now." Realizing that he probably sounded like an utter and complete creep, he shook his head and smiled sheepishly. "I apologize, I should've introduced myself first. Dr. Nathan Kotney, from the Concordia Hospital."

Diana cast another look down at where the arrow had hit her, a slight shiver running through her at the thought of infection. She thought she had cleaned it well enough but she was no doctor. Not in the least. She knew wine, not healing.
As he introduced himself her eyes lifted to his, with a soft smile she offered her hand to him. "Pleasure meeting you, Doctor. I'm Magistrate Diana Paniers. And if you have some free time than I see no reason to keep you from looking. You'd know better if I'm in danger than I would." She said nicely.

"I wouldn't mind at all. If you have a place of residence near by it would probably be faster there than at the hospital." If it was a wound from the battle then it was unlikely that he would need any tools at all, just his hand. Besides, he preferred house calls right now. The hospital was filled with people still in the comas from Ambrosia and Nectar, so the room was limited for patients who weren't going under.

"I have a small apartment near by while I'm having a new place being built." She said with a smile, "It's this way." She motioned as she started towards the exit. The limp she had wasn't too bad, only showing up when she stepped a certain way or moved too fast, which she was making certain not to do too much. "How are the people in the hospital doing? Do they or the hospital need anything?" She asked with concern as she lead the way towards her apartment building.

Nathan sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. That was a loaded question if there ever was one. "Most of the more minor cases have already been released to go home. The hospital is still beyond full though." He explained, trying to think of a way the magistrate could help. Right now, all they could really do is wait and see. "The majority of our patients now are in the ambrosia and nectar induced comas. They don't need much actual attention, but we still have to monitor them. It's a blessing and a curse, really."

Diana gave an understanding nod as they walked into the lobby, there were a few couches and such for people to use and then she smiled politely to the doctor. "Is this a good place or is my apartment a better place for the healing, I'm afraid I don't know quite how your power works - it is your power you use, right?" Diana really had no idea how if that was even the doctor's power or how he worked in general. She would leave it up to him to choose.

"Well, it depends on if you are fine with exposing the area in the lobby." Nathan explained, rolling up his sleeves and looking around. "I need almost direct contact, so it is completely up to you." Luckily for him, most of the island was well aware of who he was and what his power entailed. It was a perk of being one of the only licensed physicians, in addition to being a vitokinetic. The island was too militaristic for people not to know what he was doing.

Diana glanced down at her leg, she was wearing rather tight pants so there was no way to really get to it easily, especially in public. "Well, now that I think about it, I don't think I'll be able to get the leg of my pants up that high." She said with a soft laugh and then started towards the elevator, "To my apartment we go... I'll need to change out of my pants..." She said politely. Pressing the button for the Elevator. "So your power is touch based as well?" She asked curiously.

Nathan nodded professionally. "Yes ma'am, it is. Vitokinesis is a gift, especially at times like these." Yes, it had allowed him to help many people, even if his capabilities were limited to small wounds. With the battle still fresh, he had worked himself in to power exhaustion more than once, attempting to get as many soldiers back out on to the battlefield in as little time as possible. Who knows when the enemy would return. "Besides, even if touch wasn't required, I still would need to see it to make sure things are healing properly. Sometimes, faster isn't necessarily better." He relayed factually.

Diana gave a nod as the doors slid open to reveal the elevator and she stepped in. Soon they were opening again to reveal the floor she was on and she smiled softly to the doctor as she lead him to her temporary apartment, something that was pretty clear as the apartment was pretty much bare of anything personal, just what was needed. "Please, make yourself at home and excuse me for a moment. There is a bottle of red on the bar there if you'd like to help yourself to some." She nodded her head towards the breakfast bar that was part of the small galley kitchen, and then excused herself again, going into the bedroom and closing the door behind her.
When she returned a few moments later, she was now in a professional a-line suit skirt that stopped just below her knee but allowed her bandaged leg to be on display for the doctor to inspect. "Shall I sit or would you prefer I stand or lay?"

While she was gone, Nathan found a sink to wash his hands in. Of course, it was only to ensure that nothing got in the wound while it was healing. That could be exceptionally hard to handle afterwards. Gesturing towards the furniture, he smiled knowingly. "Laying down is probably best. Though the healing doesn't hurt, the sensation is strange and occasionally is disorienting." As soon as she was settled, he gently removed the bandage to inspect the wound before laying his hand over it and activating his power.
