Espn and Melanie had spent almost an hour getting ready. Actually, the more appropriate thing to say is that Espn spent almost an hour forcing make on Melanie's face a dictating which sparkly dress her younger friend would wear. Espn, herself, ended up in a pink dress that hugging her every curve and was sprinkled with sequins like the night sky was covered in stars. Her shoes were a strappy set of silver glitter that made Espn look like she was walking on starlight. Her hair fell around her face is shiny brown curls and her make up did nothing but accentuate her natural beauty. She was now leaning over the bar, trying to get the cute bartender (@nikolai) to get her a drink. She didn't know exactly what he wanted to she just told him to make her something delicious. Turned back to look at @accaila, Espn noticed that the bar wasn't exactly crowded. There was a decent enough group of people to not make it awkward, but not really enough to make you sweat just by walking through the door. In fact, after she got her drink, Espn was able to easily slide onto one of the warm, glowing couches that faced the dance floor, " Hey Mel, isn't this where you and Brax...?" She grinned, teasing her friend.

Taking the seat beside Espn, Melanie took a sip of her drink before pushing a curl out of her face. Espn was a miracle worker, and she always had been. The dress was gorgeous, her hair was perfect...this was going to be a great evening, she just knew it. It almost made her wish that she did things like this all the time still. Almost. "Es!" She squealed at the mention of Brax and what had happened the night before. "You know, I'm half shocked that you haven't done something crazy like try to text him yet. Thank the Gods you don't have his number...right?" Would it shock her, no. This was girls night though and the last thing she needed was a certain son of Enyo showing up to make things...well, complicated. "Come on. Enough about boys. Let's dance!" Just like old times, and the old times were what she needed the most.

The dancing had been fun. NYSA had a rock edge about it tonight that made it okay to dance even if you weren't with a guy. Speaking of guys, the minute Espn took the dance floor, they started to flock the girls, jumping behind them like they were expecting to grind or something. Espn, being used to that, danced around them and expertly left them in her musically inclined dust. She grinned at Melanie and leaned it, "You could have any guy in here tonight." She said, winking like she was planning something.

"Tempting, but I think that goes against the point of a girl's night." Melanie yelled over the music, brushing off a brown haired guy attempting to get between her and the daughter of Aphrodite in front of her. Laughing at the mischievous look on Espn's face, Melanie shook her head. "Alright, what are you up to Es? That look never means anything good."

Rolling her eyes, Espn grabbed Melanie's arm and started back toward the bar, pushing past a group of younger girls who were squealing over some boy across the room who looked like Justin Bieber, "Are you kidding me? Girls' Night is only made so you can flirt and find guys. Why else go out?" Laughing, she ran her fingers through her curls to inspire a bit more bounce as the hit the bar, "We need four of your strongest, sweetest drinks." She said, winking at the bartender seductively.

"Fine, you win." Melanie grinned, grabbing one if the drinks as it was finished. "Which one though? The kid across the room seems to be a favorite. Too flashy for me though." That, and the guy looked barely legal. Maybe she was just getting old though. Downing the rest of her drink, Melanie turned to survey the growing crowd as the band began to play again. At least they were good and the music was fun.
