It was about ten in the morning, when Lilith walked past the training grounds, and to the beach. She was in her Camp Half Blood t-shirt and some grey jogging bottoms, with some Nike training shoes. Her purple, Skullcandy headphones were around her neck, and her blonde hair was tied up into a high ponytail. The seagulls called to each other, and the salty sea air gently wafted into her nostrils. She smiled, and bid the Sea God good morning. Even though her father, Hades hated Poseidon, she liked him and going to the beach for a run always satisfied her.
Lilith walked down the steps, and watched the waves lap up against the white sand. The sound was so soothing, she contemplated starting yoga classes. She chuckled at the thought, put her headphones on, and cranked up Black Veil Brides onto full volume, on her iPod. As she started her run, she smiled and nodded to other campers, as she past by. Lilith also waved to some of her friends from the Aphrodite cabin, as the lay on the rocks soaking in the warm sun. What troubled her as she ran, was the knowledge that the Titans and Egyptians were still out there. It annoyed her that they had destroyed both camps, and they had to come here as a last resort.
Lilith decided to head back, and get in some relaxation on the beach. She had been training, and studying far too hard, and she deserved some me time. When she got to her favourite, flat rock, she slipped off her shirt and joggers, only to be in a Goth style bikini. She lay on her Disney beach towel, and started applying some sun cream. She was too busy, off in her own world she didn’t hear someone shouting her.

Melanie had just left the docks after a quick chat with one of the other agents. The beach was a preferred meeting place of theirs, secluded enough to ensure privacy and open enough take make sure that they were aware of any trespassers. With the meeting over with, she decided to take the long way back to the House of Hades, walking the shore line as far as she could before heading in to the woods. Some of the Concordians didn't enjoy going in to the woods with monsters still on the loose, but Melanie had never minded and it made the trip home much more interesting.
After several long minutes of walking, she noticed a figure quickly approaching. Out of habit, Melanie slipped into the shadows to see who would be here at this time of day. The rocky overhang that she found shelter under allowed her enough darkness to pull it around her snuggly, ensuring that whoever it was wouldn't be able to catch her. Yes, it was late in the morning, but with a mole on the loose they couldn't be too careful.
The mystery runner finally made it close enough for her to distinguish the familiar features of her younger sister, Lilith, causing Melanie to let out a quiet chuckle. This could be fun. However, Mel's original plan of jumping out of the shadows to scare the younger woman were foiled when she stopped short of the rocks, settling on another set a few yards away.
Well, that didn't quite work out as intended. Melanie thought to herself, slipping out of the shadows and back out into the sun. Making her way towards the rock, she decided to simply say hello to her sister before heading back to the house for the day.
"Lilith!" She called out, but got no response. Frowning, she began to climb up on the rock, wondering what the girl was doing. As she peaked her head over, Mel realized that Lilith had her headphones in again, causing her lack of response.
"Liiilllliiiitttthh" She called again in a sing-song voice, now that she was partially perched on the rock. Ensuring that her footing was sound in case the girl got startled and attempted to push her off, Melanie decided that the best course of action would be to just sit and wait. Surely she would notice her sometime.
Right?

The play list on her iPod had switched over to Iron Maiden’s Edward the Great album. She hummed softly to the song Flight of Icarus as she looked over her notes from the previous research session. It was a bore to say the least. If it wasn’t for her father’s voice telling her to go to Camp in the first place. She wouldn’t have found out who she really was. It was then she remembered the box that appeared on her desk, in her room when she joined CH. She rummaged in her bag, and pulled out a black velvet box and opened it. Inside was a Gothic style necklace, that had a pistol locket hanging from it. She put it on, after looking at the picture of her father and mother, at a motorbike rally. She smiled, he mother had been one who loved bikes, and was a biker through and through, despite her being an MI6 agent.
Lilith sighed, and took her headphones off, to listen to the sea, only to find her older sister staring at her. “For the love of Zeus, what are you doing here?” the youngest child of Hades said. In all of her time with the Half Bloods, Lilith had distanced herself from the others, as she liked being in her own company, rather than in the company of others. The ruby glinted in the sun’s bright light, and the fresh water pearls complemented her skin tone. Lilith turned her body fully to Melanie. “What’s made you wanna talk to me all of a sudden?” she asked, her voice holding no emotion whatsoever.

Melanie raised her eyebrows at the girl's biting response and rolled her eyes. She could be testy all she wanted, but she wouldn't get under Melanie's skin. Five years of being around Aimery had made her skin thick, not to mention her line of work.
"Good morning to you too then. I see you got father's present. He alerted Aimery of their arrival from the alter this morning. I'll leave you to figure out what it is on your own then, seeing as you want to be alone." She replied through a smile. Turning slightly and jumping down to the sand below, shaking her head as she went. Her siblings were much more alike than they liked to admit. It was a wonder that Lilith didn't butt heads with the Commander more often, with her attitude.
The day was young and the sun was warm, Melanie would take her time making her way back to the house where her own black box was still waiting for her. The necklace was beautiful, with ruby pendents and silver rose vines. It was clearly meant to symbolize the meaning of her full name, Melanthios. A dark flower. She wasn't quite sure what to make of the gift, especially since she hadn't spoken to Hades since the incident with Damien after the battle of Camp Half-Blood. Aimery had been border line ecstatic when his morning prayers at the shrine had been answered by a gift bearing father, but Melanie refused the summons. Instead, she chose to go back to her study, where the black box had been found on her desk.
She would take the trip back to decide what her next move was and whether or not she would accept her brother's offer of returning to the alter later that evening. Hades wanted to see them all, together, tonight at midnight. Maybe if she was lucky, the Commander would call her away on some emergency that only she could handle and Hades would just have to understand. Her musings were broken quickly however, by the sound of movement behind her.
