Dante looked at the clock in his room and groaned, it had been 15 minutes since Braxton and the girls left and he still was unable to have the strength to put himself in his bed. Groaning he decided to use what strength he had to walk toward the wheelchair. Dante moved slow and steady, the sweat starting to truly drip down his neck and brow as he focused on standing when he got to the chair he settled down in it, lucky to be wearing a pair of boxers. He looked up at the time and frowned, 5 minutes it took him 5 minutes to make it to the chair. He would have a lot of work to do to improve his speed. A cough from the door startled him and he turned to look and saw his brother there, his face showed concern, disappointment and he wasn't sure but he thought there might be some anger. "Don't start with me. I have been out of that bed for nearly 45 minutes already, most of it standing. Better than it was last night."
Dante reached down and grabbed the wheels and attempted to wheel himself back to the bed and then groaned. There was nothing left in the tank and he sighed. Grabbing the nearest trash bin and throwing it against the empty wall. He hated this, he hated being holed up in this room and hated that now of all times his heart decided to tell him that he was in fact in love with Mel. "Dammit. I can't do anything right, and you are here. Of all my siblings on this island I don't want you to see me this weak.

Signing, Nathan walked over to the chair where Dante sat and rolled it over to the bed before hooking his arms under his younger brother's. "Alright, let's get you in bed before the yelling commences." After all the work Nathan had put into keeping the younger son of Apollo alive, he wasn't going to let him start suffering now. Even if that meant strapping him to the bed until the wounds were fully healed. Making sure that Dante was at least partially settled in, he pushed the chair away and sat down the clipboard he had been holding before occupying the chair by Dante's bed. "And I've seen you much worse than this, baby brother. You forget that. However, I am concerned about what might have caused this sudden outburst. What happened, Dante?"

Turning away from his brother he wanted to be silent, he didn't want to delve into all the past issues that arose in the last two hours. Dante knew his brother though, and realized that nothing was going to be held off for long. Nathan had a particular talent in regards to figuring him out and he didn't want to go through that today. Sighing he said, "You do realize whose room this used to be right? I was transferred into the same room as Brax's sister and well he came to visit her. Mel was with him and things were said and I figured out something that I thought was long in the past. So all in all big brother I may have lost my best friends, I don't think Brax will ever trust me again which means it will he hard to do my job. Oh and worst of all I sacrificed my friendship so that she could be happy."
Turning to look at Nathaniel he smiled sadly, "Turns out I am still in love with her and it took Brax's jealousy to make me realize it. I have known that she loved Brax for so long that I just wanted her to be happy and I guess ignored it. I think she was the only one to notice I was lying when I said I only loved her as a friend now. I just need to get over this, I will not fight for someone who is with the person they want to be with. I only wish it wasn't true so that I didn't have to feel like my heart is breaking over someone I never pursued." He began laughing then realizing how foolish he was being.

Frowning, Nathan silently cursed whoever had moved his brother while he had been resting. Were the idiots trying to get him killed? "I was unaware of the switch as it happened while I was off duty. It will not happen again." The resolve in Nathan's voice was firm as he tried to decide what his next words would be. Of course the scum had come and upset Dante. It wasn't like they had anything better to do, like defend the island. "Maybe you dodged a bullet, Dante. I know you love her and I know she's your best friend, but the Thorn girl is a disease. She leaves nothing but chaos and death in her wake, and it's not like she can help it. Her father is Hades, after all."
Running a hand over his face, Nathan looked Dante over before speaking again. His own biase against the agent was showing through, and he knew it. Not to mention that she had been stupid enough to choose the hot headed son of Enyo over his brother. How could he condone someone like that being in his brothers life? "It hurts, I get that. I just don't know why you would let someone like that get under your skin. You deserve better than both of them."

Dante smiled a little at his brother, his opinions were valid and with Brax's attitude there was a rather high chance he would need to find another job. "I knew you didn't like them, but really what is with all this anger what happened that made them get under your skin so much? Also I think I have the death and destruction in my wake as I nearly killed her trying to apparently kill her brother Alex." He pushing himself ups so he could move into a different position, "Though I think Brax would have killed me in the very spot you are standing in had Octavia not arrived when she did, he then pissed her off and she defended me. Though by that point I was standing up to my full height, he was challenging me and I gave in, I am rather impressed I stood as long as I did, though I have to say not being able to get back into bed with out your help was rather embarrassing."

"Only you would think that challenging the commanding officer who almost killed you would be a good idea." Nathan scolded, standing as he did so. The reasons why he hated them, those were more complicated than he wanted to admit. "Melanthios Thorn being in charge of anything is the worst decision that the Garrison ever made, though your Colonel being anything above a private may be a close second. They are rash and emotional. I can't begin to count how many times that girl has brought in some half dead agent and expected us to fix them. Much less what the suicidal maniac does to herself. If it weren't for you, I'd have let her die by now." The truth was harsh, but it was something that Dante needed to here. The child wanted to die, so they might as well let her. By the time he finished talking, he had begun pacing the room, irritation plain on his face.

Though he was tired he swung his legs over the edge of the bed but refrained from jumping off the bed, "You already know I see the person underneath more often then not, it is one of the major reasons I ask those under me to speak their minds. That is something Brax brought up in the confrontation. Also it wasn't that I thought it was a good idea, I just felt it wasn't right for him to try and put all the blame on me for the result of the battle. I didn't mean to shoot her, but he was the one who chose to attack me even though I apologized." Smiling a little he felt the stiffness in his face and added, 'I can thank him for this lovely shade of blue and purple on him. Alex was the one who broke my ribs, though I am not blaming him at all. He did think I attacked his sister and we barely met at camp before it was attacked."
He watched as his brother began to pace and he slide off the bed and slowly shuffled over to him ignoring the tiredness in his body, "Nat seriously, relax, I am alive and though I still feel like an ass and at times like I should have died out there I am better off. I saw Rowen on the roof, the girl who was brought in a couple days ago who fell off her balcony, she helped me get through some of the rougher emotions I was feeling. Though I might have to reach out to Juliet Harper, she is trained as a counselor and what with the new revelation it might be helpful." His arm shook a little and he glared at it, his body rebelling against him annoyed him more than anything.

"If you don't get your ass back in that bed and stay there until I tell you otherwise, Colonel Wyatt is going to be the least of your issues Gregory Tyrell." Nathan scolded, pushing his brother towards the bed until they were both alongside it. The threats were far from empty and Dante knew it. Back before this first captain business, Nathan had beaten him a time or two. "You didn't deserve a damn bit of that. As far as we know the idiot did it on purpose, her reasons be damned and the Colonel doesn't deserve to be in that position anymore. Not only did he attack his own man, but he left the battle because of one insolent girl. People were probably killed because of her." Stepping back away from the bed, Nathan closed his eyes for a long moment and thought about what he was going to say next before looking Dante dead in the eye. "You didn't deserve to die out there, but Melanie Thorn, she should have. The island would be better off without her."

Dante smiled then what felt like his first real smile, he wished desperately that he could do more than struggle to stand. "What are you going to do to me Big Brother, as a doctor you can't very well end my life and I don't think my body can take much more at this point. The sentiment is received though you know me, stubborn as an... well you know well enough." He sighed a little as his brother took out his anger and hatred of his two colleagues and the woman he loved. "I am not touching the situation of Braxton with a ten foot poll, at least until my face doesn't look like a weird rainbow of colours. As for Mel I know I can't go anywhere with my feelings so I am not going to make it worse by pushing you away. I never got a chance to ask though, did you find Tylar? Is she safe?"

"I found her after. She's fine, more of a hero than either of us were. Helped save the little ones from the dorms and took them to the bunker." The annoyance in his voice at Dante's antics was tinged with pride as he thought about how well Ty had done, all the lives she had saved. He might have held them off the hospital with Dante, but Ty...she had gone above and beyond the call of duty to save their most valued citizens when no one else had thought to. "Don't try to get me off the tangent. I don't want to see either of them in here again or I'm having them banned from the hospital and that is final, littl brother."

Dante nodded, "I don't think you will have to worry about either of them coming to visit me. I am not that important to them right now. You have always had a knack for looking out for me even if sometimes I should be left to falter." He smiled again and thought back to the early days when he was learning the bow after arriving to Camp even before he was claimed Nathan seemed to have known that they were related. He was the first one who made him welcome at Camp. It was a connection he was never willing to loose.
"You do know that besides my mom, and younger siblings you are the most important member of my family. I wouldn't be the demi-god I am today had it not been for your honest character and leadership. I know you want the best for me and I will get there, but you know it is hard to turn away from matters of the heart. If I could I would wish away these feelings but I can't I have to work through them. I am glad you saved me, even if I didn't act like it for the first few days." Dante added looking at his brother, hoping he could see the truth he felt himself.
