Long Lost Workout and Thoughts to the future

Riley found himself in his personal gym, after a quick clean up everything was ready and so he threw on his sweatpants and his sleeveless work out shirt and began his workout using the speed rope to start with a cardio work out, after 30 minutes of that he then proceeded to stretch out. Finally he put on his mixed martial arts gloves and began to work on his boxing. His breathing was becoming heavier and he could feel the sweat dripping off of his face. Barely taking a break he dropped to the floor and began his push ups all the way to 200 before doing a set of 200 sit ups. Finally he finished with a plank at 3 minutes before he stretched himself out. As he did he thought about the ring he kept in his desk drawer now wishing he could ask her now to stop making it perfect and just ask. Sighing he god up and ran up to the kitchen to mix up his protein breakfast shake when he heard soft steps on the steps.

"Sorry Babe, didn't mean to wake you on your weekend off."

Juliet smiled at Riley before walking over to the coffee pot and starting it up. "No worries, I'm normally up at this time anyways." She explained before crossing the distance between them to place a soft kiss on his cheek. "Good morning, by the way. Did you find your way back to the gym?" From the looks of it he had. She was almost upset with herself for neglecting to clean it back up after he came back, but the room had slipped her mind. Reaching in to a container on the counter, she produced two of the muffins she had made the day before in a burst of boredom.

Riley smiled at her and wrapped his tired arms around her, "That I did my love, and I know you to well. Don't worry I know that room must have been full of to many memories for you. I am just glad I can use it again, its just something about being home and in your own space that makes thing better." Before he let her go he gave her a sloppy sweaty kiss. Once that was done he turned back to the smoothie he was making and put the lid on the blender before pulsing it all up.

Once it was done he poured it into his glass and then set to work on cleaning up his mess, "I should be able to leave work early, the Chancellor is only visiting an old friend of mine in the hospital today, though to be honest I am not sure why she is visiting him. As far as I knew they weren't overly close but I was gone for a bit."

"You should probably shower before you do that. Masin may not approve." Juliet teased as she playfully pushed him away. Of course he would come up and do something like that right after she had a shower. Still, she couldn't help but laugh and shake her head. "Well, I'm happy that you'll be home early. I'm going out to work in the garden later, but other than that I'm just going to hang around here, maybe take Blake for a walk on the beach this afternoon. I think he feels neglected."

Laughing Riley said, "Blake neglected? Are you kidding he has had twice as many people to beg for treats and cuddles." smiling he added, "We are going to see Dante, you remember him from Camp and my Garrison days right? I heard he was nearly killed in the battle." He finished grabbed his smoothie from the counter and took two large sips before adding, "You could always join me in the shower if you feel I got you to dirty to start your day." He finished his smoothie and then filled the glass up with water downing that in two large sips before wrapping his arms around her. "Im kidding, I know its to soon but a man can dream can't he?" Kissing her cheek and then moving so he could kiss her lips he quickly ran to the other side of the kitchen and dropped to the floor and did 25 push ups and sit ups, "See I was a good soldier no punishment please." He added as he winked at her when he got up.

"I do remember Dante..." Juliet started before he kissed her again. "You. Shower. Now." She scolded, though the playful hint in her voice couldn't quite be hidden. Though for a brief second, she found herself wondering how bad of an idea it would be for her to follow him up there. Things were better now right. "I'm afraid if you do that again, Riley David, I'll have to take matters in to my own hands." Now she was openly playing, the smile on her face breaking through as she watched him for his reaction.

Riley found he could barely resist the temptation to go to her and carry her upstairs, but if he gave in he could press things further than she would want. He didn't want her to think that he didn't care about the boundaries, things were going so well and he didn't want to ruin it. Smiling he took a few steps towards her but stopped and said, "Yes Ma'am! To the shower I go, and you look ravishing this morning." Though before he finished he stripped off his work out shirt and his shorts, leaving him in only his boxers, he tossed the dirty clothes down the basement stairs. "Now I am ready for that shower."He added as he ran up to their shared room and grabbed one of his suits and laid it on the bed. He then went into the bathroom and turned on the water and fan and started getting cleaned up and focused for the day ahead.

Sighing as the water cascaded down he back he thought about the ring in his desk pocket. How he wanted to run downstairs and bring it out and ask the burning question, the one and only question he wanted answered above all of them. It wasn't the time, not yet. He had to focus and be ready, he knew that no matter what he wouldn't leave until she told him to bugger off and so here he would stay. The hot water turned ice cold suddenly and he turned around in disbelief, did she really just flush the toilet while he was in the shower? How did he not hear her come in.

"Blake, no. Riley is in the shower." Juliet whispered as she entered their room. The dog had followed him in there despite her protests, nudging his way through the partially opened bathroom door. Before she could warn Riley, Blake had jumped up on the toilet and hit the lever in an attempt to crawl on to the counter. "Babe I'm so sorry, I don't know what his thing is with the-" Her thoughts were cut off as she caught sight of her boyfriend, her pulse quickening as she did. A blush crept up her cheeks as she made to walk towards him and then stopped. "I-I'll...maybe I should." After all, it was her that had insisted at no funny business. If anyone should feel awkward, it was her.

Riley was standing in the shower and he could hear her apology but he only saw her. In her slightly embarrassed look he saw the woman he loved with his whole being and he knew that he had to figure out what he needed to do. Looking down he saw Blake and smiled, the little trouble maker seemed to be following him everywhere when he left Jules. His smile faded as what could be considered the craziest idea ever passed through his mind, it couldn't be. Blake wouldn't in some strange way be trying to get them together. Shaking his head he looked up and suddenly saw Jules start to walk towards him then stop.

Quickly he rinsed the shampoo out of his hair and turned off the water grabbing the towel he wrapped it around his waist and walked out towards her, "You should do what you want, like I am going to." With that he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to him once hand tangled in her hair and the other on the small of her back, he took a shaky breath before he bent down and captured her lips in a heated kiss. As he deepened the kiss he lifted her up and set her on the counter. Several minutes went by and as he pulled away he rested his forehead against hers, his breathing was ragged and it would seem Blake had left them all alone. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have done that. You said you wanted to wait..."

Juliet stared at Riley breathlessly for a long moment, wrapping her arms around his shoulders as she did. "Don't. Don't be sorry." Her voice was soft and unsure, but her heart knew exactly what was going on. "Go to work Riley, and then come home to me." Pulling him in to a soft kiss, Juliet eventually hopped down from the counter with a reluctant sigh. "Because if you don't leave now you won't be leaving at all. I'm sure the Chancellor would not be happy with either of us."

Riley moved away from the counter and remembered that he did have to go to work there was nothing he could do to avoid it, and he could at least see how his friend was doing. Sighing he hopped back in the shower this time making it ice cold so that it could cool down his raging desire for Juliet, the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

Coming home he made sure to pick up her favourite flowers and take out the ring from his pocket. Was this really the time or should he give in to the desire alone? Shaking his head he held the small box in his hands and smiled whatever happened tonight he just prayed to the gods that she would accept him, all of him. Smiling he called out, "Jules I'm home! It was a nice get together and I am a little shocked she went but it was nice to see he survived. Though looking at him 5 days after the fact I wonder how he managed too."

Walking into the kitchen he approached her from behind and wrapped his arms around her with the flowers in front. "I also made a little stop along the way, flowers fit for a goddess." Smiling he kissed the nape of her neck lightly nipping it as well to show he didn't forget about earlier.

Smiling at Riley's embrace, Jules took the flowers from him and sat them on the counter so that she could turn to face him. "Hey babe. I'm glad dante is okay. And thank you for the flowers." Having made up her mind while Riley was gone to go through with whatever came tonight, Juliet felt significantly less nervous as she hoisted herself up on to the counter behind her and pulled riley closer. The suit he wore for work made him look more handsome than usual, if that was even possible. Smiling up at him, one of her hands found the front of his jacket before she kissed him softly on the lips before pulling back.

Riley simply smiled when she hoisted herself up on the counter especially when she pulled him closer to her. The soft pressure from her lips was a bare taste and he was sure his face showed her just how sad he was that she stopped, looking down at her he said, "Found some clothing you like or is it to much clothing?" Before he let her answer he pressed his lips to hers soft and tender and when he pulled away he lightly bit her lower lip his hands slipping to the hem of her shirt.

Unbuttoning Riley's jacket, she pushed it off his shoulders before wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him again. "Too much." Juliet whispered, pushing him backwards enough for her to jump off the counter and pull him towards the stairs. It was now or never, and apparently she had chosen now.

Riley stretched a bit in bed and smiled as he felt the weight on his chest, looking down he saw a beautiful mess of blonde hair and the soft breathing, He brushed her hair away from her face and he smiled not wanting this moment to change, just a little longer he willed so he could forever burn it into his mind. Out of all his memories and times he got to wake up to Jules after a night like that this was the best, there was just something about being with the only person you ever wanted to share that part of yourself with, after two years he finally felt whole. Brushing his finger tips along her face one more time just savouring the view had him nearly miss the subtle shifting of her body, softly he said, "Morning Sleeping Beauty. How did you sleep?"
