A packed food court was hardly the place that most people would go to read a book, but there he was. Luckily, the text was fascinating enough that Dylan didn't notice the hustle and bustle around him or the odd smells from every vendor in the food court mixing together. His own meal laid on the tray, mostly discarded other than the random bites from his sweet and sour chicken or the apple he had added on the walk over. It wasn't the greatest meal, but that wasn't what he was here for.
Taking a long drink of his tea, Dylan put the book down long enough to observe the people around him. Most of them were younger than him, but few of his students seemed to be haunting the mall today. It was just as well, especially as he caught sight of the person walking towards him. Oh well, at least he was never bored.

EMBER LYNN HADLEY XXX WORDS The meetings back at the office had gotten a little out of hand these past few days and Ember Lynn found herself thankful that she was able to escape the confines of her office for lunch. She walked through the door to the food court and looked around, gathering a few food items as she tried to spot someone she knew. Unfortunately, her best friends didn't eat here often so that was a no go. Just as she made her offering, she eyes found Dylan Bridges, her ex. Her heart panged a little and she put of her best politician smile and wandered over to him.
"You're still the only person I know who would bring a book to a food court." She said in a smooth voice, "Mind if I sit?" @dylan this post template was created by: RYNSTONE
