The sight of Ember Lynn dancing on the water was breath taking. Dylan had never seen her outside of the office and a few functions, so this was a new side of her for him to take in. He could've stood there and watched her all night, but he knew that they should probably head indoors soon. So, instead of saying anything, he simply smiled and walked along the water line until he was across from where she stood. From here he could see the light he had left on in the hallway this morning, almost like a beacon to guide their way. He held his hand out to her, beckoning her back to the shore.

Ember Lynn smiled and ran across the surface of the water gracefully. She tripped when she reached the shoreline because of the sudden change between the smooth surface of the water and the weak, sandy ground, "Whoops!" She said as she feel forward and skidded across the surface of the sand a little. That was so unlike her, she wasn't exactly clumsy...
Embarrassed, Emmy pulled herself off the ground and dusted off the sand that had collected on her dress, "Yep, let's go home." She said, smiling because that meant they were going to the same place for the first time since they had gotten together three years ago.

Dylan quickly decided that he liked it when Ember Lynn was flustered. Not upset or angry, but flustered. It was cute and he had never seen her like that before. Her dress and his coat were covered in sand, which she was currently trying to wipe off. He thought his heart would burst when she said the word home. They were home already, and she didn't even know it. Once she was by his side again, he proceeded up the main path to the log cabin, waiting a moment to gauge her reaction. Once they were outside the front door, he turned to her and squeezed her hand.
"Welcome home Em."

There wasn't a single place more perfect looking to her. It was almost as if she had chosen the home herself. It was so close to the beach that she could control was waves from where she stood. The wooden exterior reminded her of Camp Half-Blood and the nostalgic part of Ember Lynn wanted to run inside and jump on the bed like she always used to do as a child back at camp. Instead, she reached for the handle to the door and took in a deep breathe.
When she pushed the door open, Dylan's scent overwhelmed her. Ember Lynn entered the main room and spun around. It was just light enough from the light of the moon that she could make out the furniture and Ember Lynn turned to the door and grinned, "Wow." She was almost shaking with excitement.

Dylan smiled as he watched Ember Lynn's reaction. After letting out a breath he hadn't realized he had been holding, he joined her inside the living room. She looked like she belonged her as much as she did in her office, something that he hadn't quite expected. She had always been in her element there, so it was naturally where he always associated her with.
After setting their bags down and closing the space between them, Dylan kissed Ember Lynn softly before motioning to the rest of the house. "Allow me to give you the grand tour. Here you have the kitchen and living room. Through that door is my office, the room beside it is unoccupied, and through this door here," he stated with a slight flourish of his hand," is the master bedroom. " the house was fairly small and didn't have any nooks or crannies. He figured that she would want to explore it on her own anyways.

Accepting the kiss, Ember Lynn reached for his hands and started backing toward the door that he claimed led to the bedroom, "Well let's go, Professor Bridges." She sighed happily and pulled him closer to her so she could kiss his neck, "Don't keep me waiting too long." Ember then parted from his and pushed her way into the bedroom, not even bothering to flip the light on as she slinked his coat off and tossed it into what she assume was a chair. She let herself fall backwards on to the bed and turned her head to get a whiff of the blankets, once again enveloped in his smell. It was probably the most amazing thing she had ever felt, and she would get to feel it every day from now on. Why had they not does this sooner, again?

Dylan followed closely behind Ember Lynn after making sure that everything was locked and secure. He didn't intend to leave her side until morning, Nd the last thing he wanted to get up for was to turn off a light in the middle of the night. When he was back within eye sight of her, she had laid down on the bed, with his jacket now laying across a dimly lit chair near the entrance. Deciding to sit above her on the bed, Dylan began to play wothEmber Lynn's hair, simply finding joy in her presence for that moment. "What's on your mind love?" He asked, not quite being able to read what she was thinking. Me was happy, of that he was certain, but he wanted that closure, for the confirmation that they were doing the right thing to be said out loud.

She had a devilish look on her face as she pushed on his shoulders and flipped them over so she was straddled over the top him, "What do you think?" She whispered in his ear seductively. She planted a kiss on his forehead and then moved down to kiss him on the lips, hoping it was obvious what she was thinking. She a smile she reached one arm in front of her and started to unbutton his shirt, kissing along the lines of skin that revealed themselves to her.

-THE NEXT MORNING-
Dylan woke up late the next morning. Turning to look at his alarm clock, he thanked the Gods that it was the weekend. He would've been hours late to work if it had been any other day. For a moment he wasn't quite sure what was going, the past night seemed a little surreal. However, the body cuddled up against him suggested otherwise. It had been very real.
He watched her sleep for a moment before kissing Ember Lynn on the forehead and untangling himself. Em appeared to still be tired and he decided that now would be the perfect time to get up and make breakfast. He silently wondered what she liked, as he had never been with her during the day time. Some time later, he decided to go with the tried and true omelet. What could possibly go wrong?

The morning sun filtered in through translucent curtains. A slight breeze blew through the window filling Ember Lynn's nostrils with the best smell ever; a salty sea and Dylan. She turned her head, eyes still closed, to bury her face in the pillow and take in a deep breath. Through the definitely musk that made her feel like Dylan was still laying in the best next to her, she could smell food. It wasn't until she heard her stomach growl loudly that she rolled off the bed and forced herself to stand.
The cool air gave her goose bumps as she looked around the room properly for the first time. As much as she loved the place last night, this morning it was even better. The bed faced a large window that overlooked the sea. The walls were paneled in driftwood. It was like someone had the blueprint to Emmy's perfect house and put it on the ocean just for her. A smile grace her lips as she tip-toed to what she assumed was the closet and pull the door open. She found a plain, V-neck t-shirt that was the color of the ocean and pulled it over her head to cover her still bare skin. Wearing just Dylan's shirt, Ember Lynn poked her head out the door into the living room to see Dylan.
She found him in the kitchen before he ever noticed she had entered the room. She tugged on the hem of his t-shirt, which covered her in all the right places, before quietly walking up behind Dylan and wrapping her arms around his waist from behind. There it was again, that smell. She wondered why his scent was so familiar to her, "Mmmm." She groaned into his back, hugging him harder than she meant to.

He had almost finished breakfast when Dylan felt Ember Lynn's arms wrap around him, bringing a smile to his face. "Good morning, Love. How did you sleep?" He asked, turning to kiss her lightly before finishing his task. Everything was going well, in his opinion, and he hoped it would stay that way. With the stove safely off, in case of distraction, he was now fully able to take in the sight of his girlfriend, who had somehow came into possession of one of his shirts.
"What would you say about a swim after breakfast?" He inquired, laying the plates down on the bar. Of course, it hadn't occurred to him that she had no clothes there and would likely need to return to her own home soon, but he was trying to shake that idea as soon as it came to him. They would come to whatever happened next when it came.

Ember Lynn backed up and smiled, perching herself on a bar stool that overlooked the kitchen, "Very well, actually." She turned in the chair and looked around the room, spotting a door on the far wall the was barely open. From where she sat, the room looked barely furnished. In fact, there might not be anything in the room at all. She hopped up and, walking on the balls of her feet, she poked her head through the door and just about fell over, "Is this room completely unused?" She asked, walking into the space just in time to listen to her own voice echo off the walls.
When he mentioned they could go swimming, it reminded Ember Lynn of the close proximity of the ocean. She nodded and grinned brightly, "You always know exactly what I am going to want to do!" She laughed, brimming with happiness.

"What can I say, I know you love." He said through a smile, his excitement growing the longer they were awake. "And yes, that room is empty. I never quite knew what to put in there, so I left it alone. It's had potential as a library and a guest room, but every time I get started on the project I end up changing my mind." The explanation was truthful .He had attempted at several points to fill the room, but nothing felt right. Maybe Ember Lynn would find something to do with it.
"I don't suppose you have any ideas about what should go in there, Em? It's open to interpretation, for sure." The room next to it was his own office, where he spent an unnatural amount of time grading and planning for his classes. He spent more time there than in the rest of the house most days, only leaving to sleep, and only then because he had to. Some days he just slept at the desk. He wouldn't mind breaking that habit one bit.

She danced her way out of the room and looked at him happily, "Well, since this is my house too..." She started, unable to keep herself from giggling when she said that, "I will need an office. I am seeing the color blue." Ember Lynn walked across the room and found her way back in to his arms, "Blue like the ocean." She whispered, "And like your eyes." She kissed his nose, "And like this shirt." She said, kissing his neck.

Dylan wrapped his arms around Ember Lynn, returning her affection as they stood there in their own little world. "Anything for you Em." He murmured softly. "Of course, trying to match paint to my eyes may be slightly entertaining. Do you think they'd mind if I brought a mirror along, for reference?" He wondered teasingly, the image not quite able to leave his mind. If blue was what she wanted, then blue he would get.
"Maybe we could go shopping later, unless you'll be wanting to bring furniture from your home instead of starting from scratch." Shopping in public today might be a bit of a stretch, but he could at least offer to go get some of her belongings from her current abode. Especially if she was intending to move in right away. This could be interesting.
